3 small raised beds, prepared wisely have proven once again how powerful a tiny garden can be.
As the season progresses, it’s now been 90 days since planting seeds and starts. The huge harvest keeps showing up in the tiny garden.
Full production has been underway sometime and summer heat has ramped up while fall is on the horizon. All the efforts and planning are paying off . . . raised beds full of nutritious soil, covered soil and drip irrigation along with critter proofing ALWAYS pay dividends!
In this episode we see the harvest of: pole beans, green peppers and beets.
Also, the long English cucumbers are also wrapping up their season. One plant has produced 35 cukes!
Lots of tomatoes harvested of all sizes and the small/medium sized ones are purple on the side exposed to sunlight when they are fully ripe!
We check up on fall plantings - lettuces along with bunching onions, yellow onions and leeks. Wire worm have been addressed with potato bait.
We’ve had victory by overcoming powdery mildew on Zucchini which has produced more than 30 fruit.
And then there’s the amazing production of 10 melons from one start!
Yes, it’s all working toward Backyard Abundance.
