Now, granted, this is purely all theoretical. When you start to see Hughey’s character and the situations he’s been through, so far, it’s potentially the growth of a new leader of The Boys for season 5. The look he gave when he killed the person attacking him in episode 4, him finally accepting his father’s death and initiating it, learning to forgive his mother.
When you see what’s happening with the other characters like Butcher probably being infested with an alien V type thing and MM trying to keep his family together. Hughey and Starlight have the most stability to contribute and fight for, as a group.
But like I said, this is PURELY theoretical.
I can definitely see this. Love Urban/Butcher but I wouldn’t be upset if he did actually die this season, but I’m still betting on A-Train dying.

They keep dropping that liberty things in the background. I think the theory that homelander came from her he may be true. The boys is well known for planting seeds. And the secret lover thing. Yeah they hooked up at herogasm. But no one knows that soldier boy is homelanders dad… bringing stormfronts back up I def think will be a big reveal later that she is homelanders mom.

Plus Barbara said in last week’s episode that Vought paid a 17 year old runaway to carry the embryo and with Stormfront being Vought’s first hero, they definitely used her embryos and cells for experiments.
If you guys haven't seen it, I would recommend checking out 30 days of night. If memory serves me right, I believe that movie ends on an emotional note.

what is the purpose of showing hughies dad arc for 5 episodes just to kill him ? How victoria neuman with lots of powers cannot find her own husband? This season has lots of plot holes
I don't think you understand what a plot hole is. His dad showing up for 5 episode for him to die is not a plot hole. Neumen's power pop people's head, how is that relative to finding her husband?
The whole hughie's dad's arc was done to give hughie some side story like everyone else in the boys
