@@DrumlionMusic yeah not many people get to do that but his whole family is quite musical as his brother is also in a band and plays guitar, as their dad used to work for first act custom guitars. But Austins 28 now and has featured on all of Lorna's albums, it's great to be able to see his progression from their first album to now
@@theolympiyn8670 No he's not the original drummer, there's no original members of Lorna Shore left in the band, the original drummer was only there for like 4-7 months, before Austin joined. He and Adam joined around the same time and are both the longest serving members
Great Reaction. Austin is an exclusive artist for Tama now. While his kit makeup hasn't changed, the tone in his new snare is incredibly punchy on their singles for their upcoming album! Unfortunately we don't have any drum playthrough videos of those yet.
Man, great comments ! Combined technique and feeling perfectly. Very good video to watch, even for me that am not a musician or drummer. Learned very interesting stuff. Also appreciated you not trying too hard to sound cool or professorial or whatever. Cheers from Rio. Sorry for my bad english.
I really like the kinda break things down. Simple for me since I'm not a musician. But I can follow decent enough. The more nerdy shit the better. Hey you think you could do a drum play through of Decapitated - Spheres of Madness? That song is dope. Drums and more drums. 🤘
I literally just got a practice pad and sticks a couple of days ago, so you can imagine how many universes removed from me this kind of playing is!😁. Super inspiring to watch though. Thanks for another excellent video⚡⚡
@@DrumlionMusic Not yet, but will look at an electric kit...space and noise being a factor. Any suggestions on something that could take a double kick with no issues?👊🏻
@@loubser921 i have an alesis command mesh that has served me well. I ran into noise issues when i was in the army and since i lived on post having an acoustic kit going was a no go.
I know Austin, dude is a humble beast, he just thinks less of himself unfortunately, he doesn’t even think he’s that good, meet him and try to compliment him, it won’t work.
That's dope that you actually know him! It's interesting because many musicians (myself included) don't think very highly of our playing abilities. And in Austin's case i have a feeling thats actually a contributing factor to why he's so good. It keeps you hungry. Always wanting to just be a good player (even tho he already is amazing at his craft). The psyche of introspection really is interesting. I also hope he springs back from his back problems too. A friend of mine injured his back in Afghanistan, and at 23 it really was hard to see how bad even the simplest movements made him suffer.
@@DrumlionMusic ya he is a monster and he definitely has confidence issues, it’s sad really, he deserves (and you deserve) the credit as musicians, you made a solid point, I think that “chip on his shoulder” that “doubt” of himself, has made him starving to become he can be, he’s lost like 100 lbs, that’s helped his back issues but I just hope he can figure it out to keep improving, he’s one of the best drummers on the planet
What's even crazier is that Austin joined Lorna Shore straight out of High School when he was 18
Wow... So he's one of the very few people that get to live their music dreams right from the jump.

@@MasterIceyy his brother is a bassist. He’s not a bad guitar player; but bass is his primary instrument. The whole family is very blessed. 🤘🏻
@@MasterIceyy oh so he’s always been the drummer (except when he got hurt and the bassist took over lives)

One of my favorite drummers
Good stuff! Really enjoyed the technicality of your review, keep em coming! metal has so much to give
Perfect analysis dude. It's hard to review something like this and not annoy nerds. I'm subbed. Keep kicking butt!
Awesome reaction to already awesome drummer!
