It's quite curious, you know. There were so many fine competitor-artists on SYTYCD over the years. But for me there is nothing like your first time, er, so to speak. Although not included in this montage, I recall something that NL did during that first season that maybe only one other competitor has since performed, if any. (forgive my ignorance of the name of this jump). It was something that I have only seen done by premier danseurs of first-rate companies, namely a combination of a pirouette en l'aire followed immediately with a grand jete. My memory (which could be quite faulty) was that NL executed it with such masterful strength, grace and elegance. I wish that I could see that performance again. I would have liked to have seen more of his artistry and effervescence.
