Gorship) and got into Flyleaf, Demon Hunter, Impending Doom and still finding artist who share the same faith like Wolves At the Gate. :)

Damn. THIS. This is what's up. I love how the sound quality changes from something like playing in a cabin to this rich, deep and high quality thrashing-distortion and back to the cabin at the end. Each instrument and voices are well-balanced. This song reminds me of temptation and straying from the path of God. The story and song go hand in hand. Wolves at the Gates have so much potential and talent, and I'm dying to buy their merch and albums!

The weight of our sin is like the chains mentioned in the song. The devil makes us think that we don't need God to break the chains and that we can just run from our sin. But there is nothing we can do in our own power to save us. Towards the climax of the video, we realize that our ways are wrong. The devil never ceases to try to draw us away from God, and saying that we can cover our sin is one of his tactics. When we finally turn to Jesus, He saves us from the penalty of our sin. On judgement day, God will see the light of Jesus in us, and we won't have to face the penalty for the sins WE committed. Now that Jesus is in our lives, we have peace and joy, and what we should feel is the urge to continue to pursue Him. Saw them live Tuesday in Wichita KS. Had no idea they were Christcore until their guitarist went into a 20 minute speech about how he broke his leg or something playing soccer. Not a bad band, but the whole preach thing really killed the vibe.
