My dad straight piped his 91 Mack and i hadn’t heard it yet. Playing at the park I could hear a truck jakin down the hill into town and I thought I’ll bet that’s him. I was a mile away at the time and three blocks from the highway. There was one little opening we could see traffic on the highway and yup that was him. Sounded just as nice as the Pete’s did and I fell in love with that sound.

Truckers have to listen to their rigs all day. Civilians have to listen to it for often no more than 20 seconds. Conclusion: trucker can have it sound however they like.

Retired trucker here for 25 years. I listen to this when I want to sleep also. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy! It will always be in my blood.

This is Rt 30 in Lancaster, Pa...I bet any money the majority of the ones with a reefer are going a few miles down the road to that cold storage place in Paradise, Pa... that's all u see at that place is large cars

The first truck is my truck the next 2 trucks are driven by my friends Danny and Anthony. We are in our early 20s. Another friend of mine named Jason was driving the black and white Peterbilt. At 2:13 the red Peterbilt is my friend Jack's truck. At 3:48, the black Peterbilt you see is my friend Tyler's truck. At 6:03, the blue Peterbilt is my friend John's truck. Me and my truck driver friends are called the Big Truck Brothers. We are all in our 20s and have loved big trucks ever since we were in middle school. Most of all, we've been best friends ever since. And, we all married beautiful wives after high school. In this video, we all eventually meet at the truck stop that you see off and on.
This town must be the truck captain of the world never seen so many nice ass trucks come through one town.

LumberJunkee there are signs saying that already just not every where I can tell you this they won’t be taking the jakes off those older trucks and i surely won’t stop using my jakes and these guys won’t either
@@Xfactor84 yes, I already know the signs exist.....started seeing them back in '07 after I installed my straight 7's......was referring to that particular road.....wherever the guy is filming.....drive an emissions piece of trash now so my days of making that "sweet sound" is history......so carry on, drivers👍👍

On the highway, one car was slowing down a rig and he must've kicked on the Jake because out of nowhere you hear this loud "boom boom boom boom" and that little ass car acted like it was about to get eaten because it scampered out of the way with a quickness. I had a hell of a good laugh.
I do it all the time in heavy traffic, it really gets their attention

I had a lady once walk up to me at a light..rt 30 and rt 10 in pa...lady said my brake lights were out.told her I checked them before I left and they worked.i asked her to look well they worked she came back up asked why didn't they work when I stopped.i told her I didn't use my brakes..her jaw hit the ground how??said gears and a Jake brake.,I was in a tri axle dump loaded ..lmao had her really scratching her head...

You know, a 379 doesn't have a sound, the engine makes the noise. Strait pipes and a cat, n14 or Detroit will sound the same regardless of the truck. 😂

The only ones I see anymore is either occasionally the one recent cabover and some old farmers still have some kicking around.
