Hey love just a Question I’m confused about: when you say don’t let them run your credit…don’t they have to do that in order for you to get the car? That part I’m alittle confused about. & who do we let run out credit if we don’t let the dealership run it? is it the insurance company? But thanks for all the helpful tips I plan to buy my first car this Friday lol
Hey babe! Sorry I wasn’t clear enough let me clarify; the dealership has to run your credit for you to purchase the car and let you know if you need a co signer, what your monthly payment is, and how much your interest will be. I was trying to say don’t let them run your credit too early or too many times, especially when they don’t have to. A lot of the time they will run your credit 4 or 5 times to see what company will give you the loan and some times they won’t even tell you they ran your credit if you’ve already given them your information. The more they run your credit, the more hard inquiries will be on your credit report, and with more hard inquiries your scare will decrease like crazy. So you don’t want them to run your credit until they HAVE to, and you should tell them don’t run it more than 2-3 times without your permission or how ever many times you’re comfortable with. Hope this helps!
