14:33 To add a little bit of an explanation on to why this happens, it's because on the way STBFL is coded. STBFL says "If you hit the Obsession with a Basic or *Special* Attack, lose 2 tokens". While most Special Attacks do damage/injure survivors (e.g. Huntress Hatchet throw), some other Special Attacks do *NOT* do damage/injure survivors (e.g. Slinger shooting his speargun, and Pinhead chaining survivors). Yet both types of Special Attacks will still cause you to lose STBFL tokens.
TBF, one of pinhead’s iri addons does damage survivors with chains and I imagine coding that one exception would be harder than just making all special attacks equal
Think 2v8 is still the best gamemode hands down. The queue times certainly show that. It literally solves so many problems people have on both sides. Can't wait for the resident evil version to come out soon 😮

21:40 That happened to me once. I remember that match even though it's been almost a year now. I used dying light as gen slowdown (bc I didn't have anything else back then) and my obsession was the only random in a 3 men swf. In the postgame chat they asked me why I went for Dwight when he's my Obsession, I shouldn't have bc dying light, etc. These dudes where so much more experienced, in a swf, on comms, but didn't notice they went against a baby killer. I knew how Dying Light works, but... I went for Dwight bc a) apart from him I could only find the Cheryl and b) I had to let her go bc I couldn't catch her. Low MMR is/was a bit weird. I record my games and I rewatched that match again a few months later, with more practice and better understanding. And still... these 3 shouldn't have been matched with someone that literally has played killer about 5 times. They obviously called my position out, so they had to have an understanding of the map layout. They knew the tiles and the checkspots. They pathed to go for fast vaults, while I, Dwight and almost any other player I got matched with back then didn't even know what that means. That one match stuck to my memory. Bc I was honestly wondering, how on earth I was supposed to win as Killer. Tbf I played as Freddy. But still. I avoided Dying Light and STBFL after that as much as possible. Burned child 😅
Bizarre to think chaos shuffle lets people use map offerings, not only because it's supposed to be a for fun, not sweaty event but also given that the entire point of the game mode is to be random, letting people force maps to give an advantage against random perks makes no sense
i like it how in the first game you got double carry Perks that helped you a lot in snowballing, and then in the Pinhead game you got 4 "let's mess with Obssession" Perks (including her OfO obviously).
I truly love the Chaos Shuffle mod more than the others, 'cause in this mod, you don't have the comfort of the meta perks, and It's a very good mod for training with some killers we don't use very often !
What chaos shuffle taught me is that there are A LOT of horrible killer perks that can be actively detrimental to your play as opposed to survivor, quantity-wise; and that people will sweat on it harder than in regular mode for some reason.
Ots you should ask the community for their chaos shuffle perks and satistic them, playing with my friends we noticed survivor perks are widely varied where I noticed many many killer getting repeated perks wouldn't mind if not for almost every killer having bamboozle, and blood favor, or even how often no mither is given to us, js probably shouldn't be avaliable in this mode haha. Ima enjoy the video now ❤

In Chaos Shuffle sometimes you get No Mither and 3 healing perks (literally happened to me) and sometimes you get the most absurdly, unbelievably lucky counter perk through per chance. It is wild.

Me and my friends who aren't that good at the game often play in custom matches all 5 together and use a third party random wheel with all the perks on it so we get random perks. It was and still is always fun for us to do, and this gamemode made it an official gamemode.
What do you mean?! Chaos Shuffle is fun too, probably my 2nd favorite, but 2v8 has to be the cherry on top. I have so much fun with it both as survivor and killer, and when it's available I pretty much don't touch the normal queue. I'm so excited for it to come back!
i feel like 11:25 shjould have mentioned the aura reading the killer gets with rancor. its not just a lategame mori the obsession. you get to see the survivors for 3 seconds. im not saying its crazy good, but i feel its for sure slept on a bit

Hey Otz the chaos shuffle got me thinking. If the Addons of the Killer are somewhat relatable to the Items of the Survivors. Wouldnt it make sense if the Killers had a way of getting some addons in the game via interacting with Glyphs for example? Just like Survivors can interact with chests to get Items when already ingame.
"Don't want to play them anymore." I want 2v8 injected into my veins 24/7. The only issue is the queue times for killer, but overall it is the only actually unique thing from DBD, and introduces something new/game changing.
They really should make chaos shuffle come back like every month or something. I would like for them to have some kind of logic to its randomness at least with key perks. Like if you're a survivor and you get No Mither You're guaranteed to get at least one perk that synergizes with it like unbreakable or resilience. But overall I love the randomness of it. Sometimes it really opens your eyes to a play style you would never expect to which is really fun.
@@cowwzymoo It makes you get up faster and stacks with the no mither buff for getting up faster. Plus if you get up it won't deactivate the buff from Unbreakable. So you can get up 75% faster all the time
my friend and i don't have all the characters/perks, so for us, chaos shuffle is the ultimate chaos because half the time, we do not even know what we have 💀
my own experience here, chaos shuffle has been nothing but pain. I only VSed Blight with the good addons and not gonna lie my mates were not good, so we ended up licking the ground at 4 gens left -_- every god damn time.
this was very unfun on Survivor side, showcasing just how huge % of all perks are worthless , and i had many combinations like No Mither and Finesse (which doesn't work when injured) to show that there are many perks that you must not combine . its novelty faded quickly, and it was made clear also by the fact that i could get regular games queue quickly due many people ditching this mode once they were done with its tome challenges .
During both times Chaos Shuffle has been around, I've gotten Batteries Included a disproportional amount of times Maybe it's just bad luck, but its happened enough times to where I question if the perk randomizer is completely random
When people say "you're not facing comp players in your pub matches, they don't even play pubs" I can't wait to show them the deathslinger game. Comp players sweating in a completely casual game mode

Chaos shuffle is fun and love watching the dbdtubers play it i just dont get it cause theirs a majority of bad or usless perks in the game so you end up with dead end games 10x in a row. I prefer 2v8, my little oni, or certain events like masquerade more cause you dont lose your agency as a player like you do is chaos but man is it fun to see games go good in it. Very special type of dopamine.
sometimes chaos shuffle is very good, sometimes you get tunneled out 8 matches in a row with no anti-tunnel.

hey otz, I play huntress on switch, if I can find a way to record my gameplay, could you review it? I know I need to improve a lot but I’m struggling to find out how when I keep facing great teams of survivors
Chaos shuffle is fun and love watching the dbdtubers play it i just dont get it cause theirs a majority of bad or usless perks in the game so you end up with dead end games 10x in a row. I prefer 2v8, my little oni, or certain events like masquerade more cause you dont lose your agency as a player like you do is chaos but man is it fun to see games go good in it. Very special type of dopamine.
