Honestly I prefer how it parked at the end so I could get out without problems since I'm a big guy. For most people that driver side opening space is the most important. I tried Auto Park today on my older 2019 Model 3 and it works great. Mine was more center in the parking space but I had ample room to get out the car without hitting coworkers car. Can't wait to get some Actually Smart Summon.
Great video. Thanks for putting it together. Like all modern tech - it's awesome ... when it works. The auto-parking needs optimal conditions for any degree of reliability. I'm sure it'll improve vastly with time.
My 23M3p has been Autoparking in my 2 1/2 car garage for the past 7 days. I put white duck tape lines on the floor and it has been working great.I have videos on X..!
Do you hate parking? The Future is now! #tesla #autopark

If you decide to do further tests it would be great to try this at night with white lines instead of yellow. Thanks
How about parking without any lines? A human can handle that, just fine.
I need this technology

i would definitely not say it needs “optimal” conditions. Its recognized parking spots with zero lines in an unpainted lot.
@@BadL_ I'd like to watch THAT video 😁
Autoparking is also very slow. A human car park much faster. Autopark is going to irritate people around you, on the road.
What about no lines between 2 cars or at the end of a line, can it do that?
Those aren't legal parking spots to my knowledge, at least not where I live. From I've seen the car doesn't detect them as parking spots either.
Can you choose whether or not to have it reverse or forward into a parking spot?
As of right now it can only reverse into the spot. I believe because there are no front cameras on the bumper?
@@lifewithabox Who needs a front bumper camera, when you have a $40,000 car with Full Self Driving. Right? omg
@@lifewithabox no front bumper camera? Then how does FSD recognize a curb?
Does the car need to have FSD to have auto park?
Yes you do
What month your Model Y was made?
April/2023

Does it pull forward and it’s free thanks
How he parks in a narrow parking garage
how is tesla's auto park clunkier with more self-corrections than toyota's?
Autopark is unable to drive straight into a parking spot.
Autopark cannot handle *diagonal* parking spots.
