    Hey Crescent! I love your videos. You are by far my favourite RUclips amazon FBA channel.
    I launched 2 months ago and have now made it to page 1 (even option 1 or 2 sometimes) for my target keywords. I have 6 positive reviews! I’m beaming with happiness! But I am wondering when you think is the best time to start split testing?

      Congrats on your new product launch! That's great news! You can always be split testing something, whether that's the title, main photo, price, keywords, copy, etc.etc. There's no right or wrong time, just don't change too many things at once. Ideally only make one change at a time when you're testing and test each change for 7-10 days.

    Thanks for this video! very helpful - with regard to split testing, you mention testing changes to the price every other day. Is there a benchmark of # of sales you're doing that you should pay attention to? For instance if I'm only selling 4 or 5 items a day should I go longer than every other day to make sure that there is enough sales / data points to inform my split testing?

      You're welcome. When you're doing any type of testing, you should let each new strategy run for at least a week or longer.

    Thanks for the video. One point: if I increase the price and I still sell, it is increasing my margin but it is likely though that I sell less products within the month, right? why don't u take into consideration the amount of sales a certain price make within a range of time instead of simply focusing on finding the upper price your product can sell at?

      You're welcome! Of course you should consider the sales rate at each price point. There's no way to know how well it will sell unless you try and make a strategic decision once you know.

      I believe you just go in to edit section and put in a lower price for the product.

    Hi Crescent! I have a question about "pending" orders. I would like to increase my sale amount, but I have quite a few orders pending at the moment (around 12 or so), so my question is: if I increase my sale amount now, will this affect the pending orders or will they still get it at the original price?? Thank you!

      Hello. No, if you change the price, it only affects future orders.

      Glad you found value in it! Change the price, leave it for a week or two and see how well it converts. Change the price again and retest. There's also tools that will change the price for you and track it, but not really necessary.

    Question: if I price at $25.99, then people without Prime can get free shipping. But it's a higher starting price for my product. However, if I price at $21.99, the initial offer seems better, but for people, without Prime, it's not because they will have to pay extra for shipping (since only over $25 USD per order qualifies for free shipping - let's assume they only want to buy this one product), and will likely end up paying like $6 or $7 just for shipping. Would this work: price at $25.99 starting and add a $5 off coupon. SO that I'm essentially allowing both groups of people to get the best deal? Because the people without Prime would also still get free shipping AND get the product at $20.99 (due to the coupon discount). And then keep that $5 off coupon but slowly increase the actual price, over the course of a few months. Let me know if my logic makes sense.

    Hello Crescent thanks for the video. The problem I am facing is the shipment charges are very high for USA. I have checked other shipment options which are way higher than recommended by alibaba and the price does not make sense. The cost price is almost the same of amazon price. How to over come this issue.

    Great content as always!! If my product launch price is 20% higher then the low end price range let's say 12$ price launch but i am also doing giveaway which will be 80-90% off the selling price how can i do both?

    One question though , how can I set a price to a product that doesn't sell yet on amazon? The product that I am thinking of exists in many shapes and forms on alibaba but not yet on amazon, that I why I have little to no reference points to set a price.. just the base price and description from China

      Glad you find value in them! That where you'd have to calculate the actual and perceived value on top of the profit margin you are targeting and then test the market or look at comparables.

    Nice video! ?? What should I do after I have a Unique product and this product is not sold anywhere? There is not even a similar product. I have no competition! And I'm a monopolist. What price can I put? ?? Price is 2k for now.

      Thanks, I'm glad you found value in the video. If there's no other sellers, then I'd be concerned that the product is patented or there's no demand for it. Otherwise, the only way to figure out a price is figure out your costs and what you think the market can bare based on similar products and test different price points.
