Thanks for the info. Neem oil has worked wonderfully for me. I still have dark Green shiny leaves on all my hydrangeas and I have 15 of them in my garden both young and old.

Not the problem. Brown spots on the leaf of Dianthus & hydrangeas .
    What's a natural fungicide ?
Dianthus too . The buds are ready to open then, they are dried up and fall off . It's very discouraging to buy resistantant plants that do this . I also cut my hydrangeas back . Nice clear air flow & spacing . My ph is alkaline .
I don't believe it's moisture due to the drought we're having but , I water @ the base of the plants . My ph is alkaline but tnhat shouldn't matter . I use biotone / Espoma Organic fertilizers .
spring / fall. Should I get my soil trsted? And where ?
Thanks for all your help today .!
It helped me check my list of plant care needs which made me feel a lot better .

My bobo hydrangea are growing like crazy, they're developing brown spot. Should I trim the bottom of them to lift up the ability for air flow and spray with a fungicide like the Bonide 811 Copper 4E Fungicide and the Daconil® Fungicide Concentrate? New subscriber.

Does the fungicide spray rid of the spots or is the plant pretty much done once they get the spots?

Hi! My hydrangeas are full of black spots. It's not cutting off the bad leaves, its the whole hedge. Do I need to cut the hedge down low and forfeit the next year blooms???

So should you prune the big leaf hydrangea back in August to get rid of the fungus? Especially those where most of the plant was infected.

@@sabinakoka7967 i did this & then my leaves grew back, they started to spot out again. I sprayed religiously with Neem oil but still no use. I feel so hopeless on this issue.
