Just saw Nick Lowe in Denver with Los Straitjackets and Elvis Costello and the Imposters. FANTASTIC! Just seeing Cruel to be Kind live was worth the price of admission. I love Nick Lowe.
At 9:18 "We had a couple of days booked in the studio, and we just knocked it out" ! Nick "Basher" Lowe strikes again!!! Nick sir, you are a national treasure. Thank you for all of your excellent music. Keep bashing!
Totally agree. I've only really discovered Nick Lowe a few years ago, but slowly and surely he has become one of my top favorite artists. And I'm pleased to know that I'm entering my fanhood during what seems to be Nick's peak. His last 10-15 years of music, for my tastes, have been as good and better than almost everything that precedes it. And that's a huge compliment, because his older stuff is quite good too. Knight this dude! I've become an apostle of the Jesus of Cool. :)

I saw them in Bridgeport CT this month. Nick was definitely the highlight of the show.

So talented. My favorite. He's so down to earth to be a celebrity.
Nice bloke. Talented & very modest with it.
He's cushioned somewhere between Presley and Dylan.
Is that Buddy Holly in the middle if he had lived?
And better than both
@@hertzair1186 I don't know about Dylan, but he's definitely better than Elvis. Fairly overrated artist, if you ask me.
The body of work deserves much greater public recognition. Thanks Nick, at Reading last month you were immense as were Los Straitjackets.

From Kippington Lodge to Los Straitjackets.....what a journey!
Genius...
And the cushion covers👍☺️
The Basher! What a wonderful songwriter, rocker, and person. I can't stop listening to Nick and the SJ's version of Raincoat In The River.
What a Legend
Here's the musician who helps me live my life. Many, many thanks, Nick. ❤❤❤❤❤
Fabulous interview. He's been doing it for nigh on 50 years and is still curious and excited about how songs happen.
i knew that everything gotta be right with this artist , since i see that even Peter Hammill mentions his name on the lyrics of one of his songs.
Great interview
