Kevin was putting away his cello at the beginning, then he joins them. Mitch was hyped asf on Red Bull and jet lag during this performance but it has amazing results lol. The zoom is because this is hands down Mitch’s song. And the person was a stan apparently lol. Regardless this is still the best video of Aha ever taken just for the pure energy Mitch gives the performance.
As you can tell, Mitch sang lead throughout the song, and this particular performance was epic in the annals of PTX history. They still sing this in concert since it’s a fan favorite, and it’s always a nice Mitch feature, but there was just something special about this day - he was on fire. I imagine the fan cam was wielded by a Mitch Stan, but not without reason under the circumstances. Kevin came back on stage right before they started Aha, you can see Mitch and Scott move over to give him room on Scott’s left. You can certainly hear him, even though we never see him.
Yes we know this but for first time viewers that dont know the context of the video, so it seems rude to the others, but if you know that this is a fan video that focus on Mitch because he is the star of this song..
@@angelaprzybylski1425 YOu'd be suprised at how many do. You'd be surprised at how many reactors I"ve had to beg to watch the official, because this was the first they saw, and they didn't like it.
Yes this is true, however that wasn't the issue, the cause of confusion is the girl that recorded this on her cell phone is in love with Mitch, therefore she didn't record anyone but Mitch all night, she just got lucky with this song and getting epic footage. There was no official camera's recording that night, just fan cams.
I do technically agree that normally I like to see all the members, but this person did take the video for their own use and I don’t know if they are always a Mitch Stan (I am) or if it was just because of the drama from Mitch that night, but I will forever be grateful for the zoom on Mitch during this song. I think the other members of the band fully understand why he was the focus.
@Touchy Reactions there's actually a professional video from this concert that has better sound quality, and shows all 5, but misses most of mitch's performance. I watched it once years ago.
A lot of fans of Ptx said this is the best song live of them, but I think this is the best performance of Micth, this is a song where he and Avi are the most important part of the song, and here Mitch stole the show....
If they perform it when you see them in concert, they won't open it with this choral piece, "Christus Factus Est". Using that as the lead-in to "Aha!" in order to, as others have said, give Kevin time to put away his cello was Avi's idea. He had performed that sacred piece in the chamber choir he was a member of in college (where he was an opera/classical voice major, composition/arranging minor), so PTX hasn't used it since his departure. And apparently, Avi's low notes blew out the house speakers and the sound guys had to re-route it all to PTX's own system.
@@TouchyReactions He did that fairly frequently, to the point that PTX's sound crew almost always ended up using their own speaker system, which they knew they could control to handle his basso profundo notes.
Mitch’s vocal gymnastics + Avi’s earth shattering bass & overtones + Kevin, Scott & Kirstie 🤯🔥🤯🔥🤯🔥🤯 Someone told me the lyrics of the song are about people pretending to care about the environment but being hypocritical about it 🤷♀️ The live version is a fan favorite for obvious reasons! As others said, Kevin was there, just off camera. You can absolutely hear him 🔥❤️🙌
When it’s a “personally” recorded video they can record whom they want. I don’t have a problem with it being mostly Mitch. I’m just glad the fan shared it with us.
The live Singapore version is also called the "Where's Kevin?" video because of the fan being obsessed with Mitch & never getting back to a wide shot once Aha! starts. 😂 When the camera turns to Avi & then turns back, you see Mitch has closed the gap & moved to center position. That's because Kevin was center with his cello on the song before, the church piece was to give him time to put the cello & seat away. Then Mitch who will be the star of Aha! moves to center, Scott moves by him, & Kevin takes his spot far right & starts giving beats. I think the fan knew from a previous concert that when they do that song that it becomes more of an operatic piece where the lyrics don't matter, just the feel of the sound. They knew others had already filmed the whole song wide shot & wanted to just focus on Mitch this time. But this time Mitch was feeling jetlag before going on stage & downed 2 red bulls. They hit shortly into the show & he was feeling so good he didn't hold back anything vocally or emotionally.
This is the absolute best video of a live version of this song. And Mitch is focused on because he is the lead and the others just supporting. Kevin was there but was putting up his Cello when they started
10:26 Love your “Sarcastic Zoom” here.😆♥️ “To just be focused on one member seems so rude!” Point taken. (And if I ever see that cameraman I’ll give him the memo.)
Kevin was there. He played the cello in the song before this. He left the stage and came back when Avi hit the low note. He’s beside Scott. This was shot on a cell phone and has become a favorite because Mitch went off that night.
PTX definitely has a extreme love for Halloween themed stuff and the macabre. Check out, My favorite things,” from The sound of Music, originally sung by the great Julie Andrews. How they pull off making a cheery song into a spooky rendition is hilarious.
Mitch hasnt been the only one showcased in a song. Scot has had a few songs where he was almost the only one. Kirsten was in a couple and keven has had a whole time dedicated to his Cello and his beat boxin as well as on other songs where they showcased him actually playing his Cello as the only instrument. A song was showcased with Keven with his Cello and Scott playing a piano I believe. This particular song was made specifically to showcase Mitch. Most all other songs they are usually always equaled out. In most of the songs Kevin is the main one that doesnt get camera time like the others. But because Scott, Mitch and Kirsten were the 3 originals from them being friends in grade school up to now they are the main 3 showcased in most the videos.
If you just read the lyrics of this song it makes no sense at all. So PTX's official video gives it some context, turning it into a full scale zombie apocalypse song (or some such - that's how I perceive it, anyway). But even after seeing the video, IMO the actual song still makes no sense. Yes, the video from the Star Vista was shot on a fan's phone. Do NOT expect this to happen at the concert you attend; at this point Pentatonix knows that Mitch should never drink more than one Red Bull at a time.
There is a better version of this for audio from a different concert on the same tour. It shows Kevin coming back on stage. But I don't think Mitch gets down on all fours in it.
I think someone should had explained this before watching the video... Kevin was there just putting his cello away while they were singing the opera part of it... Every Pentaholic out there understands this is Mitch's song. We can hear the other four but he's the star of this song. I think you were too caught up in the visuals to get all the amazing stuff going on in the harmonies and the background. It's a very popular song live for Pentaholics. Honestly I was gonna hit the thumbs down but I love Cindy (in a non creepy way). I understand you giving your honest opinion but I think you didn't go past the fact that it wasn't shot the way you like it.
From the web - Aha!” is, quite simply, a song about hypocrites and what they do behind closed doors, with the song split into three sections, each about three different individuals who are guilty of hypocrisy. The first section is about a vegan who boasts about the benefits of his lifestyle, while secretly sneaking in non-vegan food when nobody’s watching him, and is based on the true story of a man Imogen was seeing at the time. The second describes someone who constantly brags about being environmentally friendly but drives a car that runs on gasoline, which contributes to global warming. The final part sees an amiable overachiever who everyone trusts turn out to be a serial killer, ultimately betraying their trust.
I’m sorry you didn’t appreciate the vid…while not my fav…I love it. Mitch is on FIRE!!! That can’t be denied and if you’d shown anything but the Star Vista🙄 lol

There's a live version a fan captured from the pay-per-view of the 2022 Hollywood Bowl concert. Better video, better sound, but considerably less drama from Mitch. The Mitch drama is the reason people love the Star Vista version, because you are right about the original song not being that engaging. And also right about the plotline on the official video distracting from the singing. ruclips.net/video/DHwF54IL2Ys/видео.html
I've never been able to match the original video to the lyrics. I've even looked up and watched the Imogene Heap version, and it has nothing to do with the PTX video. As for as the camera itself, it is a cell phone, held by a young lady who is deep in love with Mitch, so he was the only one she cared about, not knowing the epic footage she would get, so she was zero'ed in on Mitch, she thought for her personal use, but after seeing what footage she had, she uploaded it. @RoniHeartsMe explains everything else you need to know. Except Avi, had the idea to do the operatic piece while waiting for Kevin to put Beyonce up, ending in some worse for the wear speakers, that almost couldn't handle the rest of the bass. Great reaction as always, I feel the same way you do, I like the original song for what it is, the video is great, but does not match the song, the Star Vista, I don't really see the big deal, other than him acting out of context, every time I hear it, I feel like they leave half the song off, it just doesn't seem to take as long, could be my sense of timing.
That was a fan shot video from the fan's perspective so your criticism is a bit harsh. Of course Kevin was there. ruclips.net/video/fgepQR7G_GA/видео.html that is a video with lyrics.
