Hearing parlance such as "chavadi" gave me goosebumps ... Even the weave on the chairs in the room is very similar to ours . We have not replaced any of the windows yet with glass, the kitchen was refurnished to house a gas only kitchen, but the outer kitchen is still used for smoking tamarind, fish et al.
