Rafah residents facing 'fear and desperation beyond belief', says Norwegian Refugee Council

- Jan Egeland, secretary general of the Norwegian Refugee Council and a former top UN humanitarian official, told FRANCE 24 on Tuesday that Gaza is "among the worst places in humanitarian history". He described a trapped population enduring "relentless" bombardment since October 2023. With regards to the southern city of Rafah, where an Israeli offensive appears imminent, he said some 1.4 million people were "engulfed in fear and desperation beyond belief".

Peace will come only when hostages are released and freedom when internal democracy is established in Gaza and West bank. The difficulty is that gazans by a large majority approve the actions of Hamas. But they cry when consequences come in to haunt. Action of Israeli government too has approval of citizens.
Shame on the so called free world.

The people of Gaza have the option to remove Hamas from power; they prefer war.
Also move to Egypt or Jordan.
