I have just bought your amazing book on animated wooden toys and am having a great time making them do you have another with the birds I cant find anymore
I can"t find the answers to the questions asked by David Lopez (1 year ago) & Michel Romash (7 months ago): on the Happy Hound pattern, the pattern for the wheels shows them to be 1 3/4" but the Materials List shows them to be 2 1/4"; and also - where do you put the pull cord (still Happy Hound)? Thank you for your help!
Lindsay, That plan was not published by Woodworker's Journal, as such, we don't have any information about the plan or any corrections that need to be made to them. Please contact the publisher Fox Chapel Publishing: foxchapelpublishing.com/contacts/.
Wonderful Job. I love your designs. I have got your book and some ssw&c magazines with other of yous patterns; but I have not the Pelican one, where can I get it?
Great Job!!! Does anyone remember the name of the wooden shoulder or man that would climb down your leg like a slinky? It’s really old from the 40s or 50s, and it went head over to tail down your leg?
I have a question on the wheel pattern of the Happy Hound #18 in the Animated Animal Toys in Wood. The pattern show the diameter to be 1 3/4", but the materials chart show them as 2 1/4" in diameter. Which is it? Thank you.
Nice work. I love to see other people building mechanics into their wood toys. I invite you to check out my bulldozer model video. Just search for S.G. Devries on RUclips to find it. Let me know what you think!
