One of the finest Square Cut and drive Batsman.I was Privileged to watch him live in Stadium, watching GR Sir hitting the square Cut drive, when Dad use to take me to watch the Great players of Country India.I watched Live All the Great Players in Like:Prasana Sir,BediSir,Eknath Sir,Karsan Sir,Abid Ali Sir and other Great Players of those Days in the Stadium.
Arguably one of the greatest. India never lost when he hit a hundred. He hit 14, one draw and 13 wins for India. Fantastic player of pace bowling and scoring on difficult pitches. Never got the due he deserved. Easily among the top three.
He was and still my hero. I had a privilege to watch his first Test match at Kanpur. He is only player who had the best to handle the world fastest bowlers. God bless him. ❤
Loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong live the little master GRV🙏🙏 I will never forget his innings in tennis ball cricket in the late 60's and early 70's, spcially the one he played in Tank Grounds, Malleswaram Just after Australian test series
I had the privilege of watching Mr. Viswanath 's 97 not out at Madras against the fiery West Indies pace battery in 1974/75. Gavaskar may have played more matches and scored more runs, Viswanath 's 14 hundreds were golden hundreds for the team.
As a 80's born 90's grown kid I heard about his batting prowess during my 9th standard. especially his test debut against Australia wherein he got out for zero and he was in to tears because he didn't tell his father about his debut..his father wanted him to have decent job and take care of his family..but Viswanath wanted to be cricketer..he got out for zero in first innings and eventually he was scared to meet his father if at all he gets dropped. He scored 137 not out in second innings..later got to know whenever he scored hundred Indian team never lost test match..after some time I got to know about his 97 not out against westindies at Chennai facing rampaging Andy Roberts
Vishwanath was much much better than Sachin and Dravid. Sachin could not play Monty panidar in Mumbai turning pitch. That time I was remembering Vishwanath. He was class batsman. Sachin and Dravid should have taken tips from Vishwanath. I have big regard for GR Vishwanath.
He was one of the most stylish batsman. His square cut was extraordinary

Every hundred we did not win. Highest score of 222 at chepauk against England was a draw. We did not loose when he scored century actually.
Midas touch ♥️
True. Not Gavaskar.
Tiger was Nehru of Indian cricket
No politics in cricket.
Vishi The best
Greatest middle order batsman from India (sachin excuse)
Kindly allow him to speak, flow and spontaneous thought process and expressions will be broken
When you are interviewing better to make them express their opinion, not your opinion
India never lost a Test Match whenever The Great Vishy sored a century!
The anchor is talking too much and disturbs the flow of GRV's words.
