I'm back after a while :)
This is a compiled video of my ride to Kerala. I rode from Mysore to my hometown Thrissur and this is the first time I crossed a state border on my Apache RTR 200.

Please let me know, how much you spent for this matte finish black?
It costed 7.5k and its not a matte paint. It's a matte ppf which is a peelable layer.
Any places for bike repair or puncture shop between bandipur to mudumalai stretch... I am planning solo bike trip from Bangalore to guruvayur via bandipur on 24th Dec 2023. also advise for good stay hotel in guruvayur/ Thrissur... Pls advise...
Hello, Bandipur and Mudhumalai stretch is a pure forest route, there are no shops inside the forest limits, but once the forest range is crossed, there are some garages or puncture shops. Also, in Guruvayur you can find many rooms or hotels to stay. I'm not very sure or familiar with the hotels there.
Great vedio! Few questions,would be helpful if you can answer. 1)How long does it take from mysore to thrissur. 2)whats the latest time that one needs to start from mysore so that the forest check post can be crossed before closure? 3) Is RTPCR mandatory now?

Please find my answers below..
1. There are 2 routes, if it's via bandipur it would take around 7 hrs but right now the road conditions in some parts of Kerala mainly Perinthalmanna and Pattambi is not that great. So there can be an hour delay. If it's via coimbatore the duration will be around 7 hours to 8 hours but the roads will be better as there will be some highway stretch.
2. The bandipur forest closes between 7-8pm but it's recommended to start from Mysore at least by 4pm so that you can reach and cover the forest before the daylight is down.
3. It's either RTPCR or Vaccination certificate that's required as of now.

Bro how much mileage do you get during these trips?
I can give you the exact figure in few days when I top up my tank, I've noted down the numbers but the average is in between 38 - 42 when touring...
Is it safe to go solo thru this way from thrissur to mysore??
Yes, it is safe to travel solo but make sure to pass the forest stretch before the daylight goes down.

Thank you. During that time because of some road works in some parts of the route it took 9 hrs for us. Usually it takes 7 hours max including breaks.
