Miskolc (Muhi and Lillafüred) - Hungary

Because Hungary is not just Budapest… I am happy to show you this beautiful city, and a couple towns around it like Muhi and Lillafüred.
Let's start with Muhi , Muhi is a small town famous because of a battle that took place in the year 1241. The battle of Muhi took place during the Mongolian invasion in Europe, during this period Hungary was laid in ruins and lost 25% of its population.
My second stop was Miskolc, Miskolc is a beautiful city and it's the 4th largest city in Hungary. This quiet city is 2 hours drive from Budapest and has a lot to offer, from natural spaces, baths and castles. In this video we visited the Avas Lookout Tower, and the downtown in where we had our delicious lunch, the restaurant name was “A LEVES” (highly recommended for a quit, nice and healthy lunch) after this nice lunch we have moved to our next destination Lillafüred.
Lillafüred is a town in the middle of the Bukk mountains which makes this town the perfect place for hiking, camping, or just a getaway from the day to day. Lillafüred Is just 20 min Miskolc ( stop by if you have the chance). After the walk we visited the castle of Diósgyőr, it is another 20 min drive from Lillafüred. Knowing that the castle is close and under renovation, the main purpose of me coming here was the dessert shop located around the corner called “Kisgergely Cukrászda” one of the best desserts I had while in Hungary .
