The fear of homosexuality is simply mind-boggling and it's refreshing and reassuring when someone as evolved at Tyler puts it in perspective.
I once searched how doctors know when they are touching the prostate and I got an entire paper saying that stimulating the prostate is not only pleasurable it also reduces prostate cancer probability and cleanses the prostate.
This is brilliant. I've noticed as a man that there is so much weirdness around sex between gay men themselves! As a young boy, I was taught to keep my anal area clean and not allow anyone to touch me in that area. As a grown man, I've had mental issues concerning the use of suppositories & felt emasculated during medical rectal exams. I've been programmed by society growing up & into adulthood to stay clear from activities which were considered unclean. I'm a lot older now & see what was considered taboo during the '50's & 60's is totally acceptable today. Time brings about change & people are more sexually aware than ever. Good conversation, well done. It seems more straight men are open to sexual anal play today. There seems to be more videos, in the last several years, of straight couples exploring this option which is great to see.
Also, as I've gotten older, I believe that most people are not so much in boxes labeled gay, straight, bisexual, etc. It's more of a continuum of sexuality which is fluid too. That realization is very empowering and exciting.

Good discussion! This is so much psychology, and not only of straight men. There are many men, straight or not, who have completely absorbed the belief that "real" manhood is about being dominant. They therefore think being sexually receptive to penetration violates that mandate. The whole John Wayne vibe is so many layers of emotionally stunted living. Talk about assholes! That dominance-at-all-cost notion machismo shit REALLY makes for some assholery.
As a gay man, I see denigration of bottoming as squarely rooted in deeply ingrained notions of masculine and feminine, male and female, being unequal, feminine being inferior.
I have had partners that did not like anal play, because their experience had been of is hurting or being too uncomfortable. Fair enough. People are entitled to differing preferences. But experimentation over time not only helps a guy discover the pleasurable aspects and become more skillful and relaxed "back there," it also makes one a better lover as a top, more attentive and aware with their partner's physical sensations.
My own hang-up has been about questions of cleanliness and fear of encountering any trace of fecal residue. I am better on that score now with experience. (Prepping is a whole other discussion!)
For straight men afraid that anal play makes one "gay," gay is an identity one adopts for themselves. Homosexual or heterosexual or bisexual is about orientation, and orientation is plain and simple about the the presenting sex of people a person is most often sexually attracted to. It is NOT defined by specific acts one does with their body. In short, defined by ATTRACTION, not by specific sex acts.

Thank you friend. This is certainly a polarizing topic that will come up against a lot of fear and societal programming, and eventually my hope is that more people will open to the possibilities of full body pleasure - and liberation from the programming society has given us.

I think it's important to note that being penetrated isn't a vulnerable thing and being the penetrator is not a dominant thing. It's all about context and the dynamic between the people involved. I think the way he talked about it was a nice way of viewing it and understanding how it feels to be on the other end. The only concern I have for pegging is with modern day women and the wave of wanting to oppress men and feminise them. One of the way to ways to feminise them is to put them in the position of women which is just so wrong and not what pegging is truly about. I think there is a lot of pressure with penetrating someone and the anxiety of performing and that can be a very vulnerable experience.
When adding prostate stimulation, we're talking the difference between an orgasm focused on the penis to a full body orgasm.

Very much appreciate what Taylor has to say on this topic. From the perspective of the individual having a healthy relationship with their body devoid of guilt or shame along with the expanded opportunity for pleasure I agree with what he has to say. From a energetic/spiritual perspective I wonder about anal penetration because it is in some way reversing the flow or the 'nature' of that part of the body; so it brings up several personal expereriences along with what I have read regarding 'reverse kundalini'. I don’t understand why people men don’t realize what they are missing
I think my main issue here and with most conversations about this is the assumption that everyone needs to experience particular parts of pleasure before they die. I disagree. Some people have trauma for good reasons and neither want nor need to participate in certain things. I’m a gay man who does not and never will participate in anal play, and I’m good with that, and I’m getting super tired of being told there is something wrong with me or that I am “missing out”. I’m missing something willingly that I don’t want. We need to not assume that EVERYONE needs to be introduced into anal!
Butt trauma
Trauma does change lots of situations and experiences for people, what I would say is always leave room for the possibility of reclaiming control over whatever that trauma has effected. This applies to all areas of life, not just sex.
You are not alone in this -I'm a gay man who was involved with a man for whom any form of anal play was off the menu. We had some of the best and hottest sex I've ever had-,and I've been in vers top and bottom relationships. That said Gay men are as conflicted as straights about anal sex. You definitely do have different genital anatomy, but the anal region is the great equalizer - across all body types. We all have an anus & anal cavity. You might not have a prostate... but you do have a g-spot that can be stimulated through the anal canal in the same anatomical position. Pretty cool how they can work similarly. I don't know enough about this kind of anatomical change to say... but I do know that some people can orgasm simply from analingus (licking of the anus)... and in those scenarios, the prostate isn't directly being stimulated... but as far as the prostate's role in physical orgasm itself? Hi there Harry & Taylor, This is my personal thoughts only and all guys have differing thoughts and opinions on the matter. As an older guy living without a Prostate is not such a problem, once you accept the changes in your life it's made. For most guys having the prostate removed is for Prostate Cancer treatment. I didn't engage in anal sex and (too deep to go into here 🧐) so Prostate stimulation was also an unknown quantity. However I had a healthy sex functioning life and I understood the how and why of how a Prostate worked and functioned in orgasm's and pre ejaculate fluid creation. After my surgery and recovery to remove my cancerous Prostate Gland I can honestly say my masturbatory pleasures haven't changed but are different. The build up is just the same sensations etc my orgasm is perhaps more powerful than before. The downside(?) Is that my orgasm's are 'dry'. I still produce semen but no Seminal fluid is made to Cary it out of my dick. It saves on tissues, laundry basket wipe up clothes etc 😎 So that's my 2cents worth of honesty for guys fearing the unkindest cut of all with Prostate Cancer. We guys don't win in the sex pleasure battle in life, from teen to late 20's it's testicle cancer then from late 40's it's prostate cancer (and the diagnosis age is getting younger) I personally know several guys diagnosed at 45+ ages. There are lots of gay men who choose not to explore anal pleasure, and that's 100% fine. That being said, there are strategies and techniques to make it not hurt - so the full pleasure can be experienced.
Only do what you are comfortable with. Having said that, learning to relax is very important. Also, having a thoughtful and considerate partner is essential.
