Guys, I have the answer! Del is a postmodern artist who turns away from the idea that there are fixed values, objective truths and is thus critical of the idea of objectivity. Because he is skeptical about measuring, he never folds paper templates to achieve symmetry, and he does not follow the lines he has marked when cutting something. I.e. he is creating art!
I don't think it's his hog he should worry about. If he crashes that thing (if it ever leaves the workshop) it might be another small chipolata in imminent danger with those steel spikes pointing towards him.
an instrument cluster resides within a binnacle, sometimes then refferred to as the instrument binnacle due to it being the binnacle containing the instruments, a console is essentially a storage unit. Auxiliary gauges can be fitted within the console when they aren't part of the main cluster. or something like that.
I have to watch all that Matt makes on this project. "What is proposed is like a Monstrous Carbuncle on the face of a much loved and elegant friend" Only Delboy's fabrication can make a Harley Davidson look elegant.
Del should just concentrate on what he can do himself, like his basic mechanics etc etc. For everything else such as his Idea's and designs, the guy should source all the work out and have it done professionaly. His content would still be interesting for his viewers as far as the overall process is concerned. I have watched loads of bike restoration, overhauls and custom bike builds, where the content creator only did the ground work such as breaking the bike down and rebuilding them when all the custom parts came in finished.
@@leoarc1061 What does he actually make though that would actually cost a lot of money to fabricate, that centre console would cost about £30 in labour to build, or if he knew a professional welder personally about 10 to £20 in labour. If you shop around you can get full bike frames powder coated for £80, A freind of mine used to use a steel bed manufacture for his powder coating, £30 a bike frame it used to cost him. For what he actually does to those bikes it wouldnt cost a huge amount of money.
Should have pre-bent the individual components to the same profile, verified that they fit the curve of the tank, then soldered them together. Then, if they rattle apart, those spikes will have four chances of ripping the tiny delboy gonads off….!🙄🙈 Jeeeexus H
Imagine if he'd tried to do this in beef.! Does give you respect for the armors back then? Went to Armories in Leeds last year and they had some early English civil war stuff, last hurrah of plate armor, that had to be proofed against pistol and musket balls fired at fairly close range. At which point roudhead and cavalier officers said, 'bugger this it's too heavy'.
I imagine it's a 3 US gallon tank which is 11.36 litres. US pints are only 16 fl oz, as opposed to 20 fl oz for an imperial pint. So a US gallon is 8 x 16 = 128 fl oz (3.79 litres); and imperial gallon is 8 x 20 = 160 fl oz. (4.54 litres)
Too painful to endure. Del is a master of ruining bikes by adding ugly weight to them - whilst feeding his self delusions, and portraying them as skills and virtues. Whilst his victims are just useless Harleys, we probably shouldn’t really trouble ourselves.
The reason he has ground away at the top of this work of art is because he’s penetrated the plug weld all the way through which is quite easy to do on 1mm steel, but no way would you attack the “top show” with an 80 grit flap disc, a soft scotch flap disc would of sorted that, I can already smell the filler dust 🤦♂️
I think he said that tank came off a lowrider s. It doesn't. (Unless it's the new 'soft tail' lowrider s he's referring to). Looks more like an aftermarket tank since it doesn't have a fuel gauge recess on the left and a covered rectangular hole in the middle to access the fuel pump and gas float with multi pin connectors for those components.
31:40 It's not new... But this just confirms my theory that he is legitimately half blind. His sharpie circles also don't line up with his centre punches The spotlight soooo close to his welding helmet and job doesn't make sense otherwise. Unless his welding helmet is permanently dark??
He's never done this before, and if you read the comments when people ask question his reply is 'I did something different, you'll see' I.e past tense. If you've seen his past stuff he always says I don't know how many parts this is gonna be.
The cardboard "template" was touching the tank front and back, but the final product (spoiler alert) is higher as it sits on a frame. Does he plan? Or just make it up as he goes along? I think i know the answer !
Hello Matt 😊why it's hard to make a perfect hole using a regular twist drill bit on a sheet metal. i've seen many people recommend to use a step drill bit. i have personally tried to make a 8mm hole on a 0.5mm sheet metal and the hole was not perfect. it was kind of distorted. could you please explain what makes the step drill bit handy in sheet metal. thx a lot ❤
What I cant understand is he rushes things like drilling the holes for the spot welds a mile off the punch marks but then he spends ages wiping down the welder and even sets up the camera so we can watch him roll it back into place. He's more interested in looking like he does good work than actually doing it.
I wince every time I see Del use an angle grinder. A nasty, unfortunate, avoidable accident is only a matter of time away. One handed use? Yup. 😬 Using the business end of the grinder VERY close to where his other hand is? Er, yes.😵😵😵😵 Putting the grinder down then continuing to work on the metal a few centimetres away from the still spinning disc? Afriad so...🤕 Etc, etc. Goggles and ear defenders are harder to put on if you only have one fully working hand. I'm not the health and safety police, but this is not good.
Wrong drill bit for thin sheet, should be using a pilot drill first them a counterbore drill with a very high cutting angle which seems to cut it rather than push it through
I think the forth one will be a message of failure, He's not going to be able to rectify that mess, paint it & install it In one video. That'll be at least 8.5hrs work !
Del is the food poisoning diarrhea that keeps on coming even after you shat your pants, changed them and shat yourself again. Looking forward to 7 layers of filler and paint.
FFS..... 'heat sync'.....it's actually 'heat sink'..... unless the 'bollocks meant a bunch of heats all happening in synchronized fashion.....man, too dumb.... =)
“I’m guessing it’s California. It’s Florida, I win!” 😂😂 We knew what you meant. Haha.
he doesn't half rush for someone who loves the process of fabrication.
my technical drawing teacher would say "what did you draw that with boy a poker?"

"One of a kind" Thank God for that.
''Engineers are people to''
Well that's a lie ... 🤣🤣
It's just called Ben's now.
Just like Delballs is now just the balls.
Del learned how to mess up tanks in 3 para
😂
Wordplay. Love it. 😂
PMSL. Really.
Nice!😂
Oh, he probably learned a lot more than that.
Looks like he's making a bacon slicer🙃 for his hog 😂
I don't think it's his hog he should worry about. If he crashes that thing (if it ever leaves the workshop) it might be another small chipolata in imminent danger with those steel spikes pointing towards him.
More like his hot dog (weener)🤣
Probably why he went for making it as straight as a pig's dick.
"Absolutely perfect" every time.
I actually think his skills are receding, like he's anti-learning.
Geez Matt everyone knows that scribed lines and centre punches are only guides. Eye balling it is the way.
Filler and paint make me the welder i aint.
I’m not sure there’s enough filler & paint in the world for this one 😂

I can't believe that 30 yrs of experience.
Textured like the checker plate behind him
Nice to see him using a ruler for once mind

Maybe Del should get a vice to hold things with. Wait a minute......
I pissed myself when you said "now it's our fault". !
Fuck me, the centre-punching at 30m. A blind man throwing darts across the room would be more accurate.

He would never get his money back. For the amount of subscribers that he has, the number of views per video is pathetic.

Dell needs to ask Sealey for a spot welder

did you see him catch himself on the sharp edge and bend it up
if you are drilling 1mm sheet, put block of wood under it so you can have decent holes
those are all triangle shape
I think the grab rail is a new triumph 1, maybe off the scrambler.
Best described as ballast, also I thought these were usually made out of leather?
I put less welds in a quarter panel 😂😂
17:37 literally an arms length away from a vice... could have put the grinder in there and offered the tube up to it....
This is,,,,,,,,EPIC BEEF,,,,,,,,,,,MINCEMEAT

Hahahh i think he deleted my rather mild comment, asking how he got the flappy disc on the grinder without a snap
"1 of 4" doesn't mean they're already recorded, it means he has a content plan and knows how many videos this process will be spread over.
He's never done this before, and if you read the comments when people ask question his reply is 'I did something different, you'll see' I.e past tense.

Well your better looking with ginger hair lol🤣
Seppuku by grinder, is the way to go del. He is as entertaining as ever.
Matt I love your content, very funny in a dark way and very informative but I can not stand Dell bullocks . Please do more of your own awesome stuff 👏

Because the drill breaks through before making a complete circle and then feeds its way through the opening.
@@dirtygarageguy got it 😊 thank you Matt 👍❤
heat sync? for synchronising all of the heat?

3.3 gallon tank gets me 120 miles on my 1200. It's enough most of the time
But you're not doing 20,000 miles a winter...
@dirtygarageguy haha true! I only hit about 5000 a winter, that's only 41 and a bit fill ups!
@@dirtygarageguy wait....is that 20,000 per winter out of ONE tank?!

Del can't even draw straight lines properly, no way he's making a CAD model that follows the contours of the tank and getting it 3D printed.
Have you done or will you do a video explaining torque converters plz
This the crappiest thing he's done so far.
Gotta give him props for achievement, he's done some pretty crappy things in the past.
So what was the point of cutting up the grab handle? Warming up the angle grinder?
36:50 WTF is a "heat sync"..?
Synchronised heat?
The balls probably ordered it of the inter web himself.
If it's just to look at, Why not just mask off a section on the tank and paint it a different colour.
How many fuel tanks has he ruined? 5? 6?
Can’t wait for the filler dust to make its grand finale appearance… a lot of it. He’ll be giving it a tough black treatment absolutely no doubt.
8:12 a gallon is only ~3.8liter
Imperial gallon... Although this is an American tank, but are these measured in US gallons or is Del using our gallons?
Matt. I have not seen a shop video for some time. Will there be project videos in the future? Sorry if you already covered this.
yes
Sheriff balls is in town.
