- Sir Keir Starmer has paid back more than £6,000 worth of gifts and hospitality he received since entering Number 10 after a row over ministerial donations.
The Prime Minister is covering the cost of six Taylor Swift tickets, four to the races and a clothing rental agreement with a high-end designer favoured by his wife, Lady Victoria Starmer.
It comes after Sir Keir and other Cabinet members - who vowed to “clean up” British politics - faced weeks of criticism for accepting tens of thousands of pounds worth of freebies from wealthy donors.
Talk’s Mike Graham is joined by commentator Tom Slater, who says Starmer has “acted like an idiot” in the donor row.

He’s right. They do need principles. But there are principles already it’s just that he ignored them.
Point of note: we are NOT in a democracy. We did NOT elect this excuse for a prime minister. 39 million of the total electorate did NOT vote Labour. Only 9.7 million of the electorate voted for Labour. That is not democracy. Of those that voted, only 33.7% voted for Labour - not a majority by far and the fact that these charlatans are in power is NOT an example of democracy.
The badly flawed electoral system put Labour in power, a system that is nowhere near democratic. It needs changing and this government is a minority with NO right to dictate to the majority. It took 23,500 votes to elect a Labour MP and it took 800,000 votes to elect a Reform MP. We are NOT in a democracy.

Starmer said he would 'clean up' politics when they got into power, surely 'treading a very fine line' on 'gifts' when in power or opposition is not 'cleaning up', any MP on a basic salary of £91,346 pa does not need all these gifts, especially as they deem me to be well off and have broad shoulders when I'm on £23,500 pa, but a train driver on £70,000 pa needs a pay rise!!
