Love this series it's filled with great characters, hope whichever pair of idiots threw the bricks got caught totally reckless and irresponsible. Thank you for the great content D/C!
Vandals who intentionally target historic equipment should be locked up, put down, forced to pay for the damage they caused and then some, or all 3. Most of these groups run on donations and volunteers and a vandal attack could spell disaster for them. I have no respect for pieces of filth who destroy other people’s property for fun.
Always a sense of pride, respect and honor when you get these old Iron Horses thundering down the line, to show the world that while they may be old they will still show their power and pride. A shame that vandals have no respect for nice things.
If those vandals are ever caught they need to be made to work on the trains and the rail line to pay for their misdeeds for the rest of their lives under strict supervision of course. I'm a train fan, I live in a train town and it's just sad that they don't have any respect for Australia's train history. Just a bunch of lousy low life punks who get their jollies destroying property. I feel sorry for the people who've put in their time and money and effort into restoring and keeping the steam trains alive. My grandfather worked as a steam locomotive boilermaker.
I had an issue with a 12" Narrow gauge loco in UK where the fire was reported as "Trying to join the footplate crew in the cab!". It turned out the superheater tubes were a 'welded' return instead of a bent return and the weld had a pin hole fracture! Only an experienced steam engineer would have know this so if anyone is after a steam engineer with vast experience please do let me know!
Are those diesel engines chinese, the ones which were not starting, from the shape of those it looked chinese, btw congrats for having chinese garbage at 5 million dollars
i think they waste time unloading and loading why can't you just switch whole car load and all and have set of loaded cars with empty boxes ready for the return trip ????
Because that would require someone to buy an extra set of cars. That cost isn’t worth it for the small amount of time saved. They do do the car swapping more with larger trains or if the cargo is harder to load/unload (like pallets in a box car instead of containers).
you call that a big train? it only has a one loco its only a big train if it has 5 or more locomotives (which is the standard number of locomotives on american and canadian freight trains which are also over 100 cars long)

I'm glad the railfan's trip wasn't derailed by the vandals. I don't like people who don't appreciate history or respect other people's property.
Happened recently at my local heritage railway

Attacking a historic steam locomotive is so ridiculous. Why would anyone want to? It's a beautiful piece of the past.
I guess some people feel bored with no real moral, and just don’t care… or are global warming Karens.
Some climateer thinks it's going to kill the planet on own?
Did anyone get video footage of the vandals? Have they since been caught and charged with criminal damage?
I hope they did
I know right
Sad fact: vandalism has caused steam engines to be scrapped example t&p 638

I LOVE THIS DOCUMENTARIES HOPE THEY WILL CARRY ON COMING TO US
The worthless animals that would do something like that should be put down.
If I had the money I would love to travel all over the world and ride every train there ever was.
This scenery is breathtaking.
I love the aesthetics of an old steam loco going into a modern city.
What kind of KOOKs destroy historical Steam Trains ?
Great vedio..God bless the drivers and other staff to make it a day
Love the old steamys good show chaps
I wish the rail line would not have been removed from West Yellowstone to Ashton Idaho that would have been a trip to ride on the rail.
Who are those good for nothing vandals ??
OK OK I SEE HOW WE GROOVIN WITH IT! TOO FUNKY FRESH!
Hitting animals that size wouldn't stop a train or derail it, not in the US at least.
