I agree with you. There are far too many government workers. I think we all know that and there are some that are at home and they're not doing anything and they're making damn good paychecks. And like you said a retirement package too. Now that is ridiculous that needs to get cleaned up
The government for far too long has been operating outside the realm of capitalism. Everyone else makes cuts when they need to fails and rebuilds when they need to the government needs to learn that lesson as well.
If you work for the government you do NOT contribute to the G N P for those that Gross National Product . Your job does not put money in to the government but takes it out , you are part of the debt . Even if your job is vital to the country , you are still part of the debt .
