  • We review the new Harley Street 750. The 6th of the family, built for streets, but a potent tool otherwise as well.

    Just reading all the comments here, I find it interesting some of the stuff you guys say about the Street 750. You guys need to pay closer attention to what is being said in this video. From the American point of view the Street 750 in stock form was built to be "thrashed" on rough streets buy riders that do not have huge sums of money in their pockets. The main target for this Harley was the "developing" countries. Its a Harley that you can beat-up. Its not a show-winning, trailer-queen. Anything you don't like about the Street 750 can be addressed in the aftermarket or HD accessory catalog. The Street750 just is what it is... my advice to the Indian buyer is this. If you want it, try to get it at the best price possible and buy it from a good dealer with a good reputation for service. Also, buy your own tools so you can address little things that happen on your own without being dependent on a dealership to do little shit like changing clutch cables and brake pads and that little shit. Real riders do that shit on their own.

    1st - your video editing team is crazy. The teams is as good as red bull's video editing team. Good work team.
    2nd - the bike is superb yet cheap good work by harley team as well but i think they forgot to add A.B.S to that beauty.
    3rd - i wont praise the host any more because he is as always excellent.

    There are two types of review out there, one which are done by some people who can read the manuals(sometimes they even copy the things:P) and some are made by the people who can give any batman kinda movie a hard time in whole audio, video and editing package, Though missed Sagar for the review a nice effort by Satyen and most important welcome back Ten Hut..............Thanx for a great review

    Once again a remarkable review from piwerdrift. I always prefer your review above than Autocar and Overdrive. For this video I have 2 suggestions or rather drawbacks.
    1-The music. I know this bike is for the youth and u wanted a house music in the background but after some time it was annoying and i could barely hear you talking.
    2- you should have made us hear the potato sound from the exhaust weather it justifies the harley standards or they have compromised on that to cut cost.
    Cheers.

    • @hottroddinn
      @hottroddinn 10 лет назад

      You read my mind, Kalpen! The exact 2 points which I wanted to mention. Review is great as ever, but the music is something which needs a bit of a change for each video and it's getting monotonous. Also, it needs to be lowered a bit when the presenters were talking.

      maybe foot peg brackets if you want to sacrifice the strength of the factory ones... other than that I looked ok when I looked at it.. maybe the covers on the hand controls.. just depends on what you want. If you want a "trailer queen" this isn't the bike for you.. its just a "street blaster"

      PowerDrift As always, awesome review... had a question though, does it feel heavy?? i mean, will it suit a 6 foot tall guy with only about 70 kg ?? own a cbr150 now, but this harley is damn tempting :-) For some reason, couldn't comment on video, so replying to this

    • @gloomshadow1869
      @gloomshadow1869 9 лет назад

      pachurai It feels long, light and nimble. At 6 foot the ergos will be ok but the bike will feel kinda small as far as Harley goes.. it wont have that "big " feel to it. Kind of like a Honda Shadow Spirit 750. Go to your dealer and look at one.. its not "big" but its not small either.. for the Indian Market the Street 750 would definitely be the way to go if you want a Harley. ..and the Street was built to be tough as hell.. the foot peg brackets look like they came off a Sherman Tank.

Autocar India and TopGear India seem plain and old ever since this channel was introduced. I hope ya'll pay the 'behind the camera' team very well, they deserve it as they are the ones who bring the 'feel' in the video. :D

      I was referring to d street 750.. Not d review.. Have seen it in flesh.. Horrible wire layout... Horrible plastic controls n Speedo.. Bad foot pegs

    • @Gloomshadow100
      @Gloomshadow100 10 лет назад

      sourabh torvi have you seen this bike in person? It looks like what its supposed to be.
      The plastic covers on the controls are easy and cheap to replace with Chrome covers, Harley will offer "upgrades" for guys who want more "looks".. the foot pegs are not "bad" just very industrial looking and strong because Harley is using this bike as a "school bike" in their rider education program, school bikes get dropped a lot so they have to be strong, and once again, prettier aftermarket pegs and mounts will be offered by Harley.... Braking on this bike was "de-tuned" so a new rider would not overwhelm the skinny front tire, aftermarket brake pads and premium tires will solve a lot of that.. THEN you can tune the brakes for more power to come on earlier. The wiring is not a real issue ether.. Most Harley riders are going re-route them and do custom stuff to it anyway.. for the money it looks real good, and other editions will be coming... this is just the first basic edition.

      sourabh torvi.. its only 7,000 Dollars, buddy.. the quality looked real good to me, nice and strong.. was it "pretty" everywere? no.. that costs more money.

    I have an question to ask that , is the Harley Davidson street 750 2017 model with abs worth buying as a economical cruiser bike comparatively for highway rides and city too !

    Hope for your valueable feedback .

    the bike's engine is truly one of the best engines. H-D keep it up, u always make d best engines:-) but I miss d traditional harley exhaust note which make heads turn.no abs that's a slight disappointment for a cruiser. the bike looks absolutely stunning for a cruiser so cheap.did bike is really a hope 4 young Indian Harley lovers.:-)

    Excellent review guys.Great Job.The one thing I am not happy about in this bike is,this baby doesn't not have a single pin crankshaft and hence does not have the Famous ,off beat,'Potato Potato' Harley sound.I guess that has something to do with the design of the revolution engine,since the V rod doesnt have the traditional Harley sound.

  • @thelaborpeasant
    @thelaborpeasant 8 лет назад

    One thing people need to remember with this line is that nothing is ever perfect when it's launched. After about 3 years of public feedback I'm sure it'll be almost a completely different bike (for the better). As it sits now, yeah it has its quirks, but for the price (especially used) it serves its perpous very well. Another thing is I feel like rather than the bike being worse than the competition I think people have just come to expect above and beyond quality from the Harley name. Which is something to be proud of

    just curious about a non motorcycle question. I like watching alot of reviews from India, and I notice alot of videos are 50 fps instead of 60, is there a reason, or just a different format. just wondered since where I am I just don't see 50 fps usually, just 60 or 30

    So, just a few minor details like switchgear and foot pegs didn't look that great, I was thinking the same thing but hey, AFTERMARKET!
    I also heard that the front brake may have been set up to deliver the braking power a bit late in the lever pull so it wouldn't overwhelm that skinny front tire. I bet there is a way to tune that brake better...maybe just better brake pads would help a lot.

    • @thelaborpeasant
      @thelaborpeasant 8 лет назад

      You also have to take into account though that Harley's Street lineup was just launched so it's still in its troubleshooting phase. The Scout Sixty is an evolution of the Scout, so they've already had time to troubleshoot their bike AND an offshoot version of their bike before Harley has really had a chance to do anything. Not that that means Harley shouldn't be held to the same standard, but that these bikes will most definitely be far improved in only 2 or 3 years. I'd like to see a comparison video of these bikes now, and then another in a couple years and see how the Harley improves itself

    The question is can it go to the mecca of motorcyclist and be back in one piece ? Yeah! I meant if it could be taken to the Himalayas . Considering the fact that this is the HD with the largest Ground Clearance. We have the RE's and Triumphs with sufficient GC and Torque to take on the Mighty Himalayas. But does the Street 750 has the ability to take gravel path, rocks and streams the himalayas have to offer ?
