About your olives, I live in Mallorca and let my olives mature to black then pick them wash and soak them in a strongly salted water for a couple of weeks, change the water for fresh salted water and do as often as needed to remove the bitterness. Then rinse them and put them in a large glass jar with some garlic, sage leaves, a few twigs of rosemary and cover with a good extra virgin olive oil and let them soak in a dark place for as long as you can resist eating them. It sounds like a lot of work but it is only a matter of minutes every few weeks and then you have your own delicious olives to serve to guests and to snack on with a glass of wine. Nothing quite as lovely as eating olives you produced yourselves. Plus the olive oil they have been soaking in will taste fantastic! A healthy pamboli.

Beautiful cottage ..great potential! You might sand down and paint white the big wardrobe...if you need the storage. Or, replace with smaller one. Stunning sunset ...it touched my Soul with it's beauty. Old brown furniture can be easily painted with lovely cobalt or mint colours. Nice against white walls. A large mirror can create impression of space in small rooms. Best wishes! ❤❤🎉🎉

Nice to see your next video. Almond blossom is very welcoming in the spring, you'll look forward to it. I have almond trees on the farm here, and those you have need pruning. This is a task one of the local men can help you with, and will benefit both the tree and the quality of the nuts in your harvest. No idea about the olive tree though. Raised beds are a good idea, soil here often lacks humus. To help fill the beds, ask your neighbours if there are any chicken farms or horse owners in the area. As for transport, make sure to put some plastic sheets on the car seats under the sacks, don't ask me how I know this .....
A safety point before you start planning anything outside. We made the decision here not to build anything with which we would struggle in later years, so we have no sloping paths - no risk of slipping after rain, snow, or under ice. We don't get younger, and a broken hip ..... You've discovered with the stairs in the house safety often isn't something much worried about here. If you have space, throw as little out as possible at this stage in the game, you'd be surprised how often something can come back into play and can always be disposed of later.
Onwards and upwards. Sorry to disappoint you, you'll never get rid of the dust .... If you haven't found out yet, the tomillo you were given is wild thyme. What's next ? Best regards

Ditch the radiators! Yes they are cheap to buy, but they are very inefficient, and cost a fortune to run., When we got our place we thought we had it sorted. Stick one in every room and leave it on full time. OK, so it wasn't Warm, but it was above freezing
d so much simpler than central heating. Then the first electric bill came in 250 euros! OK, that may have included stuff used Before we moved in, as we learned the guy we bought off wasn't the most Upright in the area, but we did not repeat the experiment. Get a gas or Halogen heater instead. I don't like halogen, personally, but they are cheap to run. On the subject of gas, get spares. by Hook or by crook. The lovely Ricardo stole ours when he left, along with the light fittings, the curtain poles, and anything else that was moveable. He just snipped the light fittings off, leaving 2 little wires protruding from the ceiling for about 2 inches. Our welcome to our new home was finding an electrician so we weren't in the dark with no furniture. (Ours had been diverted to Murcia and had tro come back. Long story)
Of course he had taken the butane bottles too. We had been staying with a German lass who sold us an empty container to start us off. You have to sign a contract for gas (or did) and you got one bottle per appliance. The gas guy has to check the place is safe and and verify you are not an idiot who will blow the neighbourhood into oblivion. You soon learn to hoard the things. You mentioned them coming around, in your case once a week, but that is not much use if you are mid cook or mid shower and it runs out. So you need at least One spare.
You can leave a lot of stuff by the bins. The council will take it, or if it is still useful someone else will. Recycling.
You don't bin much. Our old neighbour had his own scrapyard, quietly rotting away at the top of his land. Everything from beer bottles to baths, just In Case! We christened him Steptoe, bless him, but only in private! That old chap was so kind to us. We would get up to find our land scythed or a carrier bag of peppers or tomatoes hanging off the door handle..
One olive will not make any oil! i knew someone who bought a place with 32. Took them 3 days to harvest the things, took them to the Co Op and got 5 litres back! Better to let someone else do take them in exchange for some help or whatever.
Good idea about the raised beds. We has a small plot with fruit trees. My idea was grow veg under and between them. I saw the place in Spring, when it was all lovely and blooming, by August when we moved in 41c it was a bit different. Most of the trees had died, from lack of water, and trying to dig that rock hard land witjh a spade nearly killed me. the crop was abysmal. I could go to the Saturday market and get all the produce I wanted for cents! Not to mention the bags of it left by neighbours.
Those things in the loft Are grain stores. i have stayed in old farmhouses where the English owner had made brilliant use of them as seating/storage space. They were on the ground floor, in a room she had turned into a lovely Moroccan inspired living room. She had sawn then=m off to sofa height, put "lids" on them and covered them wirh foam seating and cushions. So she had all the storage and a great Moroccan sofa! It wasn't the most comfortable, but it worked! And kept the history intact. I have also seen them converted to kid's beds and shower cubicles. Never chuck anything and never give up on anything. My old neighbour would have saved that bed frame and made a gate out of it! Or Something. The rural mind is an ingenious mind. They have been doing Reuse, Recycle for a thousand years!
The pig killing is a Matanza. Sacrifice. The pig is sacrificed to keep you alive. So it is is revered. They eat from snout to tail, and Nothing is lost but the grunt. The blood id used in sausages. That rail is nor just for sausages, but the famous hams and other things Inckuding veggies like pepppers.. It is air dried, hence the little window. ruclips.net/video/kAcCT4Ycwf4/видео.htmlsi=1-HGl2bwi0_98TfR

I would take those wood inlayed doors off and make a table. That way you would get more enjoyment out of them. Then you can do something else with the closet.

Cottage is too dark, depressing. I need windows and sun in the rooms. Very curious to see the renovations….

@annievanderhoydonks4618 we can open the windows when it's cool but you really need to keep them closed when it's hot, it does make a big difference 😁

ruclips.net/video/hmreol9a4Cs/видео.html. This property is renovated within an inch of its life. I found it very inspirational. It happens to be one of my favourite colours. I love how the furniture turned out. I thought I would share with you😀

Keep the wardrobe for now, because you will have more urgent things to spend your money on. ❤

Don’t paint the wardrobe white! It is a beautiful design. That sunset doesn’t seem real.

Yes we've decided we won't paint the wardrobe. I promise you it is 100% real :) :) I am very new to making videos and don't know how to change the colour!
