saw them play in phx az 2006 ozzfest. most of the crowd had no fucking idea what to do when strapping came on other then stand there mezmerised at what was just played. nobody was ready for the level of heavy that strapping still is to this day. normal people straight cant comprehend this.
If they weren’t triggered, the average human ear couldn’t hear the carpet bombing that Gene is doing back there. It would sound like a muddled blur without the aid of the triggers, imo. At least that’s been my experience
