"it looks like a trumpet." it's a true bell. "the tubing could be longer"-it's made short and thick to avoid distorting the sound. I'm sorry but it's a great stethoscope only when it's used in its true purpose: to distinguish delicate sounds and assess them
Phillip Freeman Do you mean mitral stenosis? I wouldn’t have a clue as I don’t work in cardiology so I’m not too familiar with those sounds. What I do know is that the dual lumen (cardiology) stethoscopes all have great acoustics. It’s just up to your personal preference which cardiology stethoscope brand you’d like with weight, length and design etc.
@@NurseJenny that was a funny typo! Flippin auto correct! But moral stenosis could definitely be a new disease. I think Boris and Trump definitely have it! Thank you for the feedback. I just wonder if your listeners (like me) are really interested in your reviews but especially some kind of objective assessment of sound. You may be "just a nurse" but I bet you're really good!
Phillip Freeman Haha yes, the way things are going in the world I wouldn't be surprised if "moral stenosis" becomes a new disease. Yes I do a subjective assessment of the sound quality from testing them out at work on patients. I find it hard to present "hard facts" of what the sound quality really is like because I dont have a decibel measurement device (wish I did though). So many things play a role when it comes to getting good acoustics in a stethoscope. The chest piece - is it securely attached to the stem or is it loose? Eartips - are they of good sealing quality? Tubing - is it too thin so that rubbing noise becomes an issue? There's so many variables that it's hard to say which stethoscope is actually the best because I think everyone's different and will find that different stethosopes works for them. Thank you so much for watching 🙏
Superb smart analysis from nurse Jenny. By far, Littmann Cardiology IV as well as the ADC Cardiology Adscopes are undoubtably superior. Purchase wisely.

Great video! Could you do one going over how to listen to heart sounds? And taking an apical pulse? 😊
AllHallowsEve123 great idea 💡. I’ll add it to the list of videos. Thanks for watching 😍
Awesome 😊 thanks for considering!
But what about the sound quality!! How easy to pick up moral stenosis. What does aortic insufficiency sound like?

😁 Good advise! Thanks for watching 🙏
Please include a listen to your heart on these reviews and comment on the sound quality as you are listening to your heart.
Lamar Wadsworth Great advice Lamar! 👍 I will try and work it in to future reviews. Thanks for watching! 🙏☺️
I think littmann is much better than this.
