Is this a deliberate change or a mistake? Could you please show us a comparison of your serve with and without the elbow drop? I'm curious to know if you still think it's a good technique or not.

For me it helps to think of the C position of the body, in gymnastics, C+ going to C-. This is how a soccer player gets power to head the ball.
