    If Lindor finishes with at least a .280 BA and 30/30 again then he really would have a chance against Ohtani for the NL MVP. My boy Lindor deserves more credit man, not only is he an elite switch hitting shortstop.. the man also literally plays EVERY GAME 💯 let that sink in folks.. I’m glad that he turned his season around 🇵🇷🗽🍎 hope he wins!

    I think we need to remember MVP stands for most valuable player. Would the Dodgers be where they are without Ohtani? Yes. Would the Mets be where they are without Lindor? I think we can all say HELL F*CKING NO! By the way, as I typed this Lindor hit his 30th home run of the year…Will he beat out Ohtani? No. Should he? It’s arguable. That said, Lindor should have been an all star and I’m salty Alonso got in over him. Lindor drove me nuts as a player but was always a good clubhouse presence (aside from when Baez was here). Lindor has become a Mets great in the last season or 2.

      Not so fast. You forget the Dodgers were without Mookie Betts for nearly 2 months, from June 16th-August 12th, as he was recovering from a fractured left wrist. You’re telling me the Dodgers would’ve maintained their division lead over the Dbacks and Padres, both of whom are tied as having the best 2nd half team records without Ohtani and Betts in their lineup?!!

      If we are talking most valuable, bobby witt gets MVP, not Judge. Mostly him but also Salvy and the rotation brought a 100loss team into a postseason contender while aaron judge just hits behind soto with average defense and moved the yankees from 500ball to division contender. If shohei and Judge gets MVP, offense is most important to baseball writers. If lindor and BWJ gets it, they value overall package. We will see who gets the hardware in a few months

    The fact anyone thinks Otani deserves the MVP over Lindor is crazy. Francisco is playing the field everyday, at the hardest fielding position and at a gold glove level. As well as hitting the way he's been. If Otani was pitching as well then absolutely him but he's only batting. Lindor has put in way more work

    • @dillonjohnston5396
      @dillonjohnston5396 3 дня назад

      Yeah you can. He’s literally the only guy not playing both sides. Besides the pitcher. If he doesn’t have to be out there constantly ready then he’ll have way more energy and focus for his at bats. One might argue his numbers this year actually prove that. He’s been more successful as a hitter than he ever has, and the big change is he hasn’t been pitching this season. Lindor is definitely putting in way more work on the field. Also, everyone expects this from Ohtani. It’d be more weird if he wasn’t having a season like this.

    I still think Lindor is very close to Othani to the MVP then people think. Why did David Ortiz not win the mvp even tho he was the best hitter in all the league? Because he was a DH, and that happened to him twice. Lindor is not only going to have a 30+ hr 30+ stolen base season, but he also is the best defensive shortstop in all of baseball, he has almost 30 outs above average which is crazy. Plus how he has become absolute clutch for the Mets, Most valuable player is a Guy that has had the biggest impact in a team/division/league. NOTE am not saying that Lindor is better then Othani, after all, Othani not only is the best player in baseball (when he's pitching and batting) but for me he is an all time top 10 or even higher. And also that he's probably going to get the most votes for MVP, but the argument is there, and i feel like Lindor should be taken into account more then people are taking him.

    Your not the only one who’s been saying lindor is overrated and not worth his contract. He’s been very good with the Mets outside of maybe his 1st year in NY.. which you should expect having a player go from Cleveland to NY. 1 WAR is approx worth 8 million dolllars. Lindor has been putting up an average of 6 WAR a season. This actually makes lindor undervalued.

    Literally every player you say they din’t need to be great defenders and still get paid, with the obvious exception in Ohtani, do not play shortstop. Lindor took time before the first game to sign autographs for fans. Vientos came a little after to follow. Kids screamed "Hey Pete! PETE! Come here!" And I don't recall if he acknowledged the fans or not, but he sure as hell didn't come over to greet anyone.

    No DH has won MVP, and none would this year either except for our awe of Ohtani. Any player on the team can DH, and having to use the spot for one player means it can't be used to rest a top hitter, or to get a very hot hitter in the lineup, or to stack an extra L/R sided batter against the pitcher, or to trade for or promote the hottest bat available for the stretch run.
    When Ohtani pitches it makes sense to be a DH, but I wonder why he doesn't play the field some this year. He's an incredible athlete with the arm and speed to play outfield (maybe LF while rehabbing his pitching arm). 1B sometimes? He fields well as a pitcher. He's also on a team that would try Betts at SS.

      @@iTalkStudiosno worries, thanks for the reply. Btw great video as always, as a diehard Mets fan and someone who adores Lindor, that video was a gut punch but at the time I understood it. I was just hoping for this moment haha.
      P.S. without Shohei the Dodgers are in the playoffs, without Lindor the Mets are nowhere. Just food for thought. Keep up the great work.

    Takes a big person to admit a mistake. I’ll just never understand where the Lindor hate comes from though tbh…dude has done nothing but put up like 5-6 WAR year in and year out. What’s there even to hate? He’s easily justifying his salary.

    I told you at the time that you were saying “overrated” just because you didn’t like his contract, but you argued with me four times that overpaid equals overrated. Nice to admit you were wrong about Lindor, but how about telling your viewers they were right?

    The question is “who is the most valuable player to their team” the dodgers don’t need shovel to lose in the playoffs, they been doing it without him.

  • @LeftyStegman

    He didn’t start the year off that well and with that contract people will be mad when he doesn’t produce that’s New York you’re great they love when you suck they hate you.
