I saw something once about this scene and I can’t remember where but The actor playing Murray ad-libbed that line and it cracked Brett and jermaine up. I wish I could remember where I saw that.
I agree im a big fan of Gervais but I find Murray even funnier. it pisses me of people don't understand this sort comedy. I tell people at work about it know one understands check out trailer park boys too
The amount of people who dismiss Trailer Park Boys as a stupid show disappoint me. it takes a high level of intelligence to create characters so beautifully stupid. The plot lines are great, unfold in a wonderful way and no TV show has quite a Shakespearean villain like Mr.Lahey. John Dunsworth is a national treasure and one of my favorite moments in life is getting to buy him a shot and getting drunk with him. He was way too nice and very happy to accept free liquor, stole some of my curly fries too.
I've gotta say, you did miss out the all-time best Murray quote ever: "So this was all a joke, eh? Organized by a couple of jesters! Is this you, is it? 'Oh, let's do a jest, a great big... great big lark! In the courtyard of the king! And see how he takes it!' Is it? Is that what you're telling me?" Amazing line, amazing delivery.
