I lived in a similar neighborhood in Cantonment Accra in the seventies. I think this was the concept of the colonial era where the British officials lived in such houses and after independence our big political figures and top civil servants took over from them.
True the high rise building cost a lot… u need to dig deep foundation, it could b as deep as a three storey,u need a crane to transport d materials to the top. U need special type of iron rods n building materials to hold the structure. Cheddar’s number Oxford street building made up of 100 units mostly studio rooms n one bed apartment cost $51 million… same money can be used to build 400 four bedroom town houses or even more
