    I'm still not walking with a prosthesis due to multiple delays (it's been almost a year), but in large part due to you, i have hope still.
    Know you're appreciated and that you do have an impact on many.

    The AllPro is the best foot I've been in by far (in order since 2015: Rush 87, AllPro, Proflex XC, Proflex Pivot, AllPro). Just switched back to it for my newest socket and such a relief to be back in a light and springy foot. FYI for anyone watching and thinking it looked like it had too much much when spring when Christina compressed it: it comes with a standard and a stiff heel bumper. The standard one is preinstalled and that's what Christina has. The stiff heel bumper is great for anyone on the heavier side.

    Whats also nice is the raw carbon fiber has grip on the bottom. Meaning i can still walk in it while the footshell is being cleaned and wet without sliping on my vinyl floors. I just got a demo 8" and it just barely fit by mms. But i love that i can jump in it.

    I am a lbka and I have the Maverick Comfort AT and I love it. I had a Freedom Kinterra and it drove me nuts. My old prosthetist donated a College Park Trustep and I liked it a little better but my Maverick is awesome! I live on a 40 acre ranch with lots of uneven terrain and its great for it.

      LBKA as well, was on MCAT and it was indeed very good, but the all pro is leagues ahead. The way it returns energy makes walking with it really easy (once you get the hang of it)

      I've had several true steps. They are a great foot, but the damn parts wear out so quickly. I was running thru bushings and bumpers like crazy. That was a long time ago though. Maybe better now.

    The shell isn’t only good for water drainage, but MUCH easier to get the grass out after you mow; the dog hair once you’ve realized your foot is shedding more than your dog; and makes it MUCH easier to remove coins, earring and whatever else decides to take up residency in one’s foot. I love my all pro. I’ve had the 8” for a couple of years now. I heard they now have a rotation addition and man, that would be nice.

      @@AmputeeOT I tried to finagle one, but it was a no-go with my prosthetist because I’ve had my foot for less than 5 years 😔 I will say that I have pondered, far to often, how to make adaptations myself 😳

    I became a RBKA May 12 and am doing fairly well walking in my Ossur Pro Flex XC. I'm hoping to get back to playing tennis next year. I was told the Cheetah Leg would cost $7,000. My prosthetist said I can get a tennis prosthetic, which will be paid for, either with or without shock absorption. Neither looks great for tennis. This foot looks great for tennis!! I will keep this for tennis time and show it to my prosthetist. Thank you so much!!

    Weight matters with the old mech knees. They needed some weight at the end to function properly. With today's micro processors weight isn't an issue so everything can be lighter! I deal with Orthotech in Michigan here but they travel to other states also and I'm a 20+ year aka!

    I have had the same AllPro 8" foot for the past 9 months and with my C-leg4 knee since 4 months ago. Your comments and ratings are spot on, Christina. I love its flexibility, but I feel a bit too much spring-release on toe-off. It's probably not appropriate for new AKs.
    It looks really cool when wearing shorts, but the giant C-shape is tough to hide cosmetically when you want to dress up. I take a chunk of dense foam from an old leg and stick it inside my sock to fill up the void under the curve like a fake ankle.
    Like you, I also needed a thin layer of foam behind the curve to protect the carbon fiber -- mostly from hard stair edges that were putting holes in my jeans. 🦿

    I'm shocked there is no closed captioning for this video 😳. Anyway, I'm a R Hip Disarticulate (HD) and have not yet gone to get a prosthesis. I'm assuming even though HDs and Hemipelvectomies pretty much have a 'bucket style' shell, we can use the same legs and foot prosthetics...correct me if I'm wrong.

    It looks like the AllPro can be worn without the cover. Am I correct in thinking that?

    • @AmputeeOT
      @AmputeeOT  Год назад +1

      No not really. It won’t fit inside a shoe correctly in that case and will get worn out prematurely. You could have a prosthetist permanently attach a sole to the bottom of it.

      @@AmputeeOT thank you for the information. I was told last week that my doctors might have to amputate my leg below the knee if they can't stop whatever is causing it to degrade so quickly. I think I will bring up this foot if we do end up having to go that route so I can be active again
