Psalm 88 is my favorite of the psalms.
Mostly because I’ve lived that life.
By age 14 I’d known 11 people that had passed on.
At age 9 my mother asked what do you want for your birthday?
I as honestly as I knew how to, said.
I just wanna know who’s gonna die next.
I didn’t mean to hurt her. It’s just all I had ever known.
But through all those funerals all the death and darkness.
I’ve gained a new appreciation for life. For the little miracles that happen everyday.
And my faith in the lord has grown stronger as I’ve traversed the dark path.
    If you’re reading this.
    Please know.
    You’re not alone.
You’re being shaped into someone who can stand eye to eye with death and darkness.
    You are important and well.
If no one else has said it. I will.
    You are beloved.

I believe that as we experience darkness, if we still cling to God in our misery, (like a tiny bug clinging to God's majestic robe) that we bring God Glory in heaven, we glorify God in the spiritual realm where a War is being waged. I hope to glorify God and anticipate my gradually failing health will give me that opportunity, in fact it already has.

Wow man thank you for this. You have a very humble and understanding nature, I have had times in my life where everything has been great but I have also had MANY seasons in my life as a christian when I felt psalm 88 was the closest thing to how I felt. I think it is particularly powerful in the message translation. For me I have always liked the lamenting psalms because of how I can actually relate to them, and they are very raw and real. Since I have been a christian (converted 3 years ago) I have dealt with 2 mental health problems which caused so much suffering, I also have dealt with Strong verbal abuse from parents for having my faith (I’m 21 years old), and last week I have been going through a break up with my christian girlfriend that broke up with me seemingly out the blue, we both thought we were going to be married and I was so heart broken when she left, we put God first and I have no idea why it had to end. I have always loved the psalms and very few people even Christians understand how much suffering is out there and how badly some people do suffer. Bless you for this video and your RUclips, and if you see this please pray for me I have been struggling a lot recently. Much love from England.

Jesus is the Light...in our darkness of suffering..the carnal mind will not understand this Light
    (The Holy Spirit of God).
We accept Christ confessing His Light of Salvation into our mind..heart..and soul..our whole existence as a human being..
The key is ...willing to do this action.
Accepting..that Death is part of life..but humans were never intended to look at death...but to look at LIFE..Enternal Life in
    Jesus Christ..
Where there is darkness of the lost soul...
THERE WILL ALWAYS BE THE Key to unlock the door of SALVATION...a key to open the door to a new way of living..
JESUS IS THE ANSWER..to our darkness.

Guys, Angel numbers (the way the world sees it) is not biblical. Sure, 7 and 3 might be significant in some places in the Bible, but God doesn’t speak to us in Angel numbers. That stuff is New Age.

This is just speculation on my part, but the name of 'Jesus' if broken down etymologically becomes 'Lord of Salvation'. Only twice in the O.T is where that is used and it appears in Psalm's 18:2 and 88:1. The former is about David's combined deliverance and victory over his enemies whilst in battle followed by his increasing sense of loyalty and surety over the works of how the ancient Israelites understood their patron 'god' of the Israeli territory to be their 'God'/ their 'Lord' (henotheistically).
So we have alot of 'rocky'/ mountainous/ "on High' kind of imagery in that Psalm and then you're just at rock-bottom by Psalm 88.
With all practicality in-mind, I think that a way of understanding this if desiring to work through, avert any sort of overinfluence of nihilism would be to understand that life just has it's ups and downs. For the most part, our everyday is about treading indefinite ranges/spans of plateaus versus reaching momentary instances at peaks and then the subsequent descensions.
Psalm 88 is the expression of someone who's gone-it-long, has probably roused themselves up and has briefly fallen here and there, but is treading a plateau.
Dealing with a given plateau-esque state where you're not succumbing to extremes (focusing too much on the highs or giving in more to the lows) is the mindset of a master, and it's interesting how Jesus was known as 'the Master'.
