I got to see them in concert when they opened for 311 a few months back and this was the song that stuck with me! I cant believe they aren't on the mainstream radio- all of there songs from the past decade has been musically brilliant.

Music is better at that than someone simply speaking, though most lyricism of late misses the mark. Whether I'm in my highest highs or lowest lows music is the one language that gets through to me, and has been all my life.
You guys were a wonderful RUclips music suggestion maybe six months ago, and hooked me in with Novocaine. The music hit me first then I paid attention to the lyrics and oooh boy they hit home a little more than I was comfortable with. I stopped what I was doing that day to work it out by ear and it's now in the memory bank on guitar, cello, and piano.
High Low is much the same, and will probably be added to the memory bank for the days I need to sit down with an instrument and play my feelings.

@@Unlikelycandidates ❤️ when something hits that musical sweet spot, I do my best to let the artist/band know, if they're not widely known. Being a musician and working in the live music industry while I was at university I know how much it means when someone reaches out to a musician/band that has made an impact on them.
I've got new recording gear coming soon so I'll record Novocaine on cello and later it (yeah I went to the effort of working out four layers, because quarantine) and send it to you guys if you want. The swing beat has such an ace bounce when played on cello, but despite the fun bounce factor it adds an extra poignant feel.

This song describes so well my feelings towards the current situation. After I came back home from my gap year where I was needed and did so many things with my friends I just couldn't handle this - being home. family. etc. All of my friends are at the army or far away while I avoid seeing them right now and my spirit feels so down it actually hurts.
And then, RUclips randomly starts playing this song and I was like: "hey, is this about me?" and for some reason hearing it makes me feel slightly better, so thank you.
