Great stuff mate!!!! Can't wait to hit the water too, got a DJI Mavic 2 pro n tried it yesterday with strong winds nd it worked great!!!! Sad there isn't many good spots here in Adelaide to catch a pinky, again great job!!
Hi mate, I’m new to drone fishing ( haven’t had any success yet lol) but I will get there. I absolutely love your videos. Keep it up with them as it gives me inspiration. The magnets that you use, what are they called and where do you get them from please. I hope we can meet on the beach someday. I would love to fish with you. Regards Dion ( I live in Rockingham)
I dont know where you but this would work really well on the west coast of the north island New Zealand we I have caught a few snapper around the 20lb mark with long lines and fishing torpedos off the beach big surf and very difficult hand casting the fish are at least 200m out
@@iusannaidoo8336 oh right 😂 It's actually a ski clamp, it's a generic brand, can be a little tricky to find on ebay, but you'll eventually find them, otherwise rhino do a set which are far superior in quality, they just didn't do a size that was suitable for the space I have next to the half basket on the roof racks. Pretty convenient leaving the rod setup with the rig, just attach sinker and bait and its ready to go quick as, when I get home I usually take sinker off and store the whole setup on the wall 😁
Thats one reason, other is the line clears the shore breakers, I don't need to lower the air pressure in the tyres, we don't have to deal with others travelling up and down the beach. The list goes on.
No problem, check out my latest videos to see it in action...also a video on the tackle talk series covers how i rig up my my bait release system. ruclips.net/video/PttxOnWEFTo/видео.html
Hey man, nice vid! how many 300m casts can your dji phantom 3 do in one battery? I'm considering to get a used one which is approx aud$500-600 or get a new AEE condor fishing drone aud$1200, im still unsure what to get. Cheers man
I was getting 2-3 drops before the battery reached 50% and then I swapped it out for another. I had 4 batteries I cycled through and running the charger all the time to keep drained batteries charging.
hi guys.. great video - i wanted to ask do you use a lead sinker or are you just using the weight of the dead bait as the weight? Im asking as im off to portugal next week to drone fish from the shore with mackerel etc.. and need some advice. Many thanks
So jealous, I've fished around Perth my entire life and am yet to get a sized Pinkie, now that I can drone fish I'm hoping I can get my first. What time of the day did you catch that at?
It is a home made device, works ok...Now Ive come out with my own design and it is available through the SHOP tab on the Land2Air FIshing Facebook page.
Yes, daiwa saltiga. I usually use a big spinning reel, saragossa 25000 with 600m of 88lb wft braid, or a vasn steal vm275 with about 500m of 65lb spiderwire blue camo
Currently a downrigger clip as seen in the video, nothing special but does the trick and releases very easily. Alot of R&D happening behind the scenes to make my own branded 3D printed bait clip. Cant wait to release it!!
Keeps the line out of the water for longer, this allows any weed in close to the beach to not catch on the main line, also prevents any waves that crash on the beach to not pull on the main line. Finally theres no need to let the tyre pressure down and drive on the beach and potentially get stuck, ld rather spend more time fishing than digging my 4x4 out...
@@Land2AirFishing Ok, understood. But, why not leave the car on the hill and fish off of the beach? ...seems like quite a hike to run down and land it. Seems strange that you're so far from the water when the fish hits the beach
@@fathead9264 There is many reasons and many advantages to this style of fishing. Firstly, the view is better above beach level. There's no need to let the tyres down, driving on the tracks means I don't necessarily need to deflate them. That hill is very steep, it's not practical to do half a dozen trips up and down with all the gear for a session where you may not catch anything. I prefer to run down when I hook up than carry gear back and forward. I also prefer to not leave my car unattended where possible. Fishing up off the dune means everything is within arms reach. The other major benefit is the line is entering the water past where the seaweed gathers closer to the beach so I spend very little time pulling my rig in to remove the debris in the water that catches on the main line. This particular day there was a bit of weed around so fishing from an elevated position worked to my favour. You can see my other videos I also drone out from beach level as well 👍🏼
What was your first species you landed on drone??? Comment below!!

Awesome..... flick to sports mode if the drone moves to slow in windy conditions

very good big guys! where are you from?
Hi There. Perth Western Australia. Where are you located?
What is the name of the rod holder that you are using mate?
Hi there 👋🏻
It's a long piece of pressure pipe from a construction site... nothing too fancy 🤣
