Greg, you inspired me to visit my MSF course area today and practice my low speed clutch maneuvering, low speed cornering, and emergency stopping for a few hours. What a humbling experience and I feel *much* more comfortable with feeling uncomfortable.
I would like to extend a *sincere thank you* on behalf of myself, my parents, and my insurance company.
That's amazing!! Good for you...I'm so happy! Just keep at it...keep pushing yourself and practicing!
Is your name Greg? or Eddie...
Anyhow, thanks for the best moto riding tutorials on RUclips!
My name is Greg...nickname Fast Eddie.
Same here my dude yayyyy
I think those cruiser riders werein a bit of shock and awe at the end at how easy you did that Eddie, that's why they weren't clapping 😜
lol I have more videos from this weekend, even riding and draggin knee on a 1100 Shadow Sabre with forward controls lol
Next do how to drop a knee on a goldwing.
Bike doesn't matter...once I get ahold of one I'll make the video :)
After the Goldwing, can you show us how to drop a knee on a trike?

Wow...I've been riding 3 years and just now starting to feel "almost" comfortable taking corners in some of my local area. I can't imagine doing a knee down version like this...yet. Something to strive for. Well done!
Incredible how you do kneedown, with one hand touching ground or one leg in the air. Great respect !!
Thanks!!
That was phenomenal, Greg. You and DDFM both have great channels and I'm glad to see you collaborating. As one of your Patreon supporters, I still hope you'll make it to Texas to ride my Street Bob! Have a great one, guys!
Heck yes! I'm planning on it!
I was somehow expecting applause at 8:20, you killed that demo!
Thanks!
I know right that was amazing
I’ve been watching your videos since you started your channel. I am very much impressed with your riding skills and being able to show and explain the techniques. I love riding but been out of the game for a few years now and thanks to you, getting back on a bike will be a breeze! Keep up the great work and look forward to your next video!!!
Thank you so much!!
Dude, getting my first bike (kawasaki vulcan s). Any chance of doing videos specifically for cruisers? Like the low speed and other techniques you did for other types of bikes. Thanks for starting this channel. Learning a lot.
Stay tuned my man!! I have 2 videos specifically for cruisers!!
You the man!
The more bikes I come in contact with, the more demo videos I'll make too :)
Not surprised you killed it on the cruiser demo, great job Greg! I'm jealous of those people I wish I could come out with you guys and practice!
Thank you so much!
Dude for the first time I wish I was from america hahahaha. I can see you opening your own training course very soon! Great talent for teaching you have, thank you so much! I wish you all the best guys
Thanks!!
Yeah, I agree. In my country we have like 2 people (groups) who teach advanced bike courses so it is very hard to get in. All my a little bit advanced knowledge is basically taken from youtubers.
"Freedom", of individuals, extremely rare throughout all of human history and worth the endless battle since 1776.. :)
Love it,such confidence in front of a group of what I assume is relative strangers just shows how much practice you have had 👍
Countless hours! lol
You're so good at this. I'm so glad you made a channel for teaching.
Thanks!! Was so much fun today! Myself and Dan made a bunch of videos...both of our channels will slowly be uploading them :)
I gave $4 bucks to a bum outside of Starbucks today. That's three times as much I give to Fast Eddie a month!! Log on to Patreon www.patreon.com/motojitsu/posts and drop a dollar! We need MotoJitsu to be a full time instructor.
So cool to see two of my “mentors” TOGETHER as being a new rider!!! Greg Widmar(Fast Eddy) and DanDanTheFireman!! Have watched so many vids from both of these two dudes as a new rider they are truly passionate about helping others become better riders and to always BE SAFE and embrace ATGATT!
Also fun to see Greg on a Harley as I think he is usually a BMW dude!!
Thanks to both of them for being advocates for helping noobs like me(and vets) become better on 2 wheels!!!!
I'm not a BMW dude...I've had 10 bikes in 7 years :)
Get into more training and practice what you learn..that's more important than anything :)

@@MotoJitsu Thanks for reply back and thanks for all the amazing vids and training. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!!!!!
You're welcome!! You too :)
I'm so happy you made a video like this. I've been catching up on all of your work, but I've had to get creative in applying a lot of your lessons on my cruiser with forward controls. I'd love more videos like this with techniques via forward controls! Keep up the awesome work!
Awesome, thank you!
Keep your feet on the pegs !!
The elbow-below-the-wrist part really upped my game. Thanks a bunch 👍
You should definitely bring this training on the road. I would love to have you come to KY.
I hope to be able to travel all over and do the same things!
And southern Indiana
Ah, my Louisville friends. How it do.
I love no nonsense people. No wasted words, especially important on an instructional video. Said so much in so little words. Thanks! Just liked and subscribed.
:) thanks!
Out here answering the important questions I love it
👌🏼👌🏼
I bought my first bike last month it's a Vulcan 650. I had no clue how to ride..had never been on a bike. You have taught me SO MUCH. Much appreciated. You articulate really well.
Take a course!!
Man, so glad to see how you and your channel are getting more and more attention, and also more people are showing up and gathering around you. Keep it up, sky's the limit. #RideSafe
I visited a motorcycle dealer today and they are selling their bikes like hot cakes I’m sure I feel like the culture is headed down a right direction with motojitsu awesome
Very cool that you guys hooked up - two of my favorite sources for motorcycle safety and training online!
Thanks! Was so much fun!
Hey can I ask you - do you think a Yamaha FZ-7 is an appropriate bike for a new rider? I am shopping for my first bike. Wanna stay used and most seasoned riders have told me to stay under 700cc.
I don't like the term new rider or a bike for a new rider...my gf's 390 Duke is my track bike! It's awesome and I love riding it. I would say test ride as much as you can and whatever bike you get, take it to courses and practice, a lot.
I see. I guess I just mean that my experience is limited so far to the 125cc bikes we used in the MSF training. A few guys in videos have suggested that certain bikes are more forgiving for inexperienced riders (ie - some bikes are more "twitchy" on the throttle) - and I believe even in your own experience you expressed that getting a 1000cc sport bike as your first ride was probably something you were not ready for. But I hear what you are saying - practice and technique are the more important things. Thanks!
I just become at rider at 49 years old and you guys videos are so helpful and gives me a lot of confidence, thanks Greg!
Awesome!
Wow! You did a great job on a cruiser,.... fantastic, thank you for showing us the technique.
You're welcome ;)
Awesome Dedication!.. CA to AZ, spreading your knowledge 👍
YESSS it was great!
I am......super impressed......if anyone lived in NYC, going on the small curve on the Brooklyn bridge going from FDR to Brooklyn. I always try dropping that knee for a tiny bit on my 1200 sportster crushing at 20mph. And.....I always end up too close on the line to the other lane. It's really scary and hard because sometimes I feel my lean is too much and I hear my foot pegs scrapping the road.....and if I'm not leaning too much...I'll end up on the other lane when I exit the curve unless I slow down. Sigh.
This guy is naturally a cool character. Very articulate. Great channel man
The Bike is very low to the ground.. He is getting his leg and knee out of the way of the pavement in the turns..
Great Video Dan Dan got smart and Traded his Harley in on an Indian FTR-1200
Thanks
That bike has a beautifully tuned exhaust.
It was sweet!
Cool riding! Great sounding bike, Dan Dan!
Looks so much cooler on a cruiser then a sports bike..I mean its expected on sport bike.
Oh?
Great sounding sporty👍 Maranatha, Greetings from Tampa Florida 😎
Fast Eddie, dan dan, and even a blockhead shirt in the background! Awesome!
lol yesss
FE you're a badass! Can't wait to see what other videos you shot out in AZ!
Coming soon!! Dan has a bunch too he'll post :)
It looks so cool getting down on a big cruiser bike😎. It's always easy when a pro does it👏
Thanks!
Yes! I have been waiting to see if this could be done and you did it! I'm no where near being able to try this, especially not on my bike, but it's awesome to see it's possible. Great upload. And with Dan Dan the Fireman! He's a great sport for letting you use his bike. You guys are awesome. Thank you
YESSS there will be so many more videos from both our channels!! You're welcome!
Sounds great for a 400
I’m from the north east and your demo made me think of snowmobiling. Same idea to corner fast on a sled
Great... I am going to learn it. I saw you almost didn't push the bars, just used the suspension. I will try this.
Not sure what you mean but go practice! lol
I've been bingeing on your videos lately. They're awesome and great tips! Would love to see you do all these tips and techniques done on a Grom or other mini bikes just for fun.
I have a video of that coming soon!
I low slid trying to get my knee down on my little VL250 at a local carpark. Thankfully I was wearing full gear at the time, hip protectors that arrived the morning of actually worked great. I learnt a lot during the fall, experience is far more poignant than watching a video. Shut up and practice right? Thanks for the guidance and motivation during my short time riding.
you're welcome...
It's funny seeing DDFM in the background filming. I just watched that video which brought me here.
lol Nice!
My friends think I’m nuts knee dragging on my softail, now I can show them this, thanks
Forward it to all of them!! You can watch DanDanTheFIreman's channel too for a different perspective :)
MotoJitsu how do you avoid scraping the pegs when cornering? almost ate shit the other day leaning too much. first bike was a sport bike which is why i’m used to leaning a lot lol
terrific stuff, ! Eddie I get a lot of people to watch you're video's Holland motorcycle place I use to ride a chopper , but it is a VFR 750 1996 er now great bike ,thanks for commenting on the switch off button ,

Hey Man ... New follower really get alot out of your videos! I have been riding for 30 years Dirt and Street. But it amazes me how much I learn and can learn everyday! I'm even taking local track training to sharpen skills more. Its like flying to me, if can't or wont learn any more should hang it up... I would've come down to Tucson for this but found out a bit to late. I'm only a Hr or so away. Maybe next time, or I am in Ca alot to lol... Anyways, keep up the good work!

What a brilliant informative channel you've created.
Any cornering tips for forward control pegs on cruisers ? Doubt many could get their knee down but Im sure you could nail it. :-)
I made a video with 6 different bikes, dragging knee on each one. It's possible...and the cornering tips are the same for any bike :)
Eddie doing his thing as usual , nice control!
thanks!
There are cruisers with very low big foot pegs.
One time I tryed a friend's cruiser and in the second roundabout I was scrapping the foot peg on the ground. And I was not using any considerable lean angle. I was just going around at normal speed. Those foot pegs were just very low to the ground! I don't know if the bike was like that stock or if it was a modification. But I lost all interest in cruisers that day...
Yup, most are....I have another video of me on a Shadow I'll be posting eventually....body position helps out big time.
holy omfg mother of all that is awesome... i needed to see this so badly! mission accepted. im guessing at least another 300 hrs of practice :D
:) yes!
Cool video Eddie,you r riding a 1200 sportster., that's the bike they took from me,now i ride a freaking grom.lol , Cool knee dragging on a sportster.love it.
I am impressed! I actually didn't think it was possible to drug a knee on a Harley. Though, I would put my money on that, it is impossible to drug an elbow on Harley. Please prove me wrong! :)
Knee down on any bike is possible

At the most, an interesting video. Used to ride an R1 and dragging my knee at every time i would take a freeway exit or almost. Now i have a M109R “yeah, I’m getting older” i had to relearn how to corner. i push my bike as low as you did in this video i get battle scars on my exhaust system not cool. So no not every bike can do what you demonstrated. P.S. i do have a few battle scars on my exhaust system to prove my point. And I’m 6’3” so leg length i have plenty of...
I have another videos where I demonstrate dragging my knee on 6 different bikes in a row, it's possible.

Question: The techniques for switching your body position between turns? ex. switching over from turning left to right and back again for the mountain twistys. I try to always stay light on the bars and loose and use my core and lower body but would appreciate a small tutorial on that.

Impressive riding skills. I am riding a fully stock Suzuki Boulevard M50 400cc weighting nearly 650pounds and under-powered. Its impossible to turn sharply like this cruiser. Such turning will ended up crashing the bike 90% unless you are exceptionally Pro. I have problems doing sharp turns at bends with this bike sometimes.
Bike has nothing to do with it. See the playlist of me riding 40+ bikes doing the same things on all of them?
