    Greg, you inspired me to visit my MSF course area today and practice my low speed clutch maneuvering, low speed cornering, and emergency stopping for a few hours. What a humbling experience and I feel *much* more comfortable with feeling uncomfortable.
    I would like to extend a *sincere thank you* on behalf of myself, my parents, and my insurance company.

    • @MotoJitsu
      @MotoJitsu  6 лет назад

      I don't like the term new rider or a bike for a new rider...my gf's 390 Duke is my track bike! It's awesome and I love riding it. I would say test ride as much as you can and whatever bike you get, take it to courses and practice, a lot.

    • @anon91153
      @anon91153 6 лет назад

      I see. I guess I just mean that my experience is limited so far to the 125cc bikes we used in the MSF training. A few guys in videos have suggested that certain bikes are more forgiving for inexperienced riders (ie - some bikes are more "twitchy" on the throttle) - and I believe even in your own experience you expressed that getting a 1000cc sport bike as your first ride was probably something you were not ready for. But I hear what you are saying - practice and technique are the more important things. Thanks!

    I am......super impressed......if anyone lived in NYC, going on the small curve on the Brooklyn bridge going from FDR to Brooklyn. I always try dropping that knee for a tiny bit on my 1200 sportster crushing at 20mph. And.....I always end up too close on the line to the other lane. It's really scary and hard because sometimes I feel my lean is too much and I hear my foot pegs scrapping the road.....and if I'm not leaning too much...I'll end up on the other lane when I exit the curve unless I slow down. Sigh.

    There are cruisers with very low big foot pegs.
    One time I tryed a friend's cruiser and in the second roundabout I was scrapping the foot peg on the ground. And I was not using any considerable lean angle. I was just going around at normal speed. Those foot pegs were just very low to the ground! I don't know if the bike was like that stock or if it was a modification. But I lost all interest in cruisers that day...

    Question: The techniques for switching your body position between turns? ex. switching over from turning left to right and back again for the mountain twistys. I try to always stay light on the bars and loose and use my core and lower body but would appreciate a small tutorial on that.
    Sorry if you have explained this before, I watch many of your videos but I do not remember seeing that specifically.

    Impressive riding skills. I am riding a fully stock Suzuki Boulevard M50 400cc weighting nearly 650pounds and under-powered. Its impossible to turn sharply like this cruiser. Such turning will ended up crashing the bike 90% unless you are exceptionally Pro. I have problems doing sharp turns at bends with this bike sometimes.

      Bike has nothing to do with it. See the playlist of me riding 40+ bikes doing the same things on all of them?
