The things you mentioned also make me want to focus on a 'whole food plant based' diet. I agree 100% that it has a lot to do with processd food. I also noticed that when I visit a friend in america I get sick. This is no hate, but a lot of food there is just not good, so I did some research. In america you are allowed to use additives and chemicals until it is proven that it's harmfull, and if no one discovers the connection and mentions it, it's maybe never discovered. In europe you are only allowed to use something in food after it's proven to be safe. I think that says a lot. It's not the vegan diet, it's what people have made it with all the processed foods.
I agree! But it is also the plant based diet for me, not just the processed stuff. I personally do not feel good if i solely live if plants. My stomach can't handle beans very well and some other veggies.
a whole foods plant based diet will fix the harm of ultraprocessed food but it doesn’t address the lack of nutrients that is the biggest cause of complaints from vegans. Until the 20th century all plant foods were whole foods, yet we have no records of long term vegan societies, only attempts at best.
Vegan diet is a starvation fast. It’s the absence of animal foods, which are the only foods capable of digesting in stomach acid, and therefore nourishing the human body - if those are absent from the diet, then you body is in a constant state of autophagy where the body is consuming your healthy cells for nutrition. This is why vegans can claim that their blood work is showing they’re healthy, because those nutrients your body is cannibalizing to stay alive are being transported through the bloodstream. Plant foods do not digest in stomach acid; they must ferment in the large intestine before they can be evacuated from the body. These fermenting plant foods provide at best 6-9% of the body’s nutritional requirements, hardly enough for the body to survive without animal foods.
Are you suggesting it is impossible for some people to be healthy as a vegan.. that no diet would work? Or some people arent aware or have access to what such a diet would involve?
Yes ofcourse!!!!!!! It's so different for everyone! I felt completely fine first few years.
