I hate to speak ill of that grandmother, but she's blinded by her love for her grandson. His own father called him manipulative.
The grandmother is blinded by love of herself. She doesn't want to admit that her family is a mess because that doesn't fit the image that she wants to portray. She is being selfish which is not helping AJ.
She doesn't understand that by denying that her grandson is obviously guilty, the family's image is worse than it would have been had she just admitted the truth. The family is following her lead by lying for AJ and they all look like psychopaths!
@@auntiez4917I thought the same thing.
@@auntiez4917 Bingo!!
@@auntiez4917 All Facts, She even used the excuse of him lying that he was scared. She is in denial. It looks like she cared more for keeping AJ free, than getting justice for her son and daughter in law what a sad excuse for a mother/ grandmother...
She already knows that her grandson killed her son; so she isn’t too worried about justice. She’s worried about keeping up her and her family’s image. She doesn’t even care about AJ. She cares about herself. She needs to be humble and ask God to help her see herself in all of this.
Grandma said people lie when they are nervous…. No people lie to cover up something or to avoid reality!
Right
In real life
factz
*His family members are COMPLETELY DELUSIONAL. The depths of NAIVE stupidity some humans can sink to is MIND BLOWING. They GENUINELY want to believe someone broke into this house… disarmed the security system… snuck through the house undetected… knew where the parents were… searched until they found where the parents hid their gun… killed them with their own gun… then COMPLETELY VANISHED INTO THIN AIR.*
You forgot resetting the alarm. Which is impossible. His expression during the reading of the verdict speaks volumes. Smh
I agree but those shows how he’s grown into the manipulative narcissistic sociopath that he is today, he’s been getting away with things with his family probably since a young age but nobody knows children better than their parents, and he probably didn’t like that he was able to manipulate everyone around him except them, they always called him out on his bs and sociopaths hate when people don’t believe their lies
@TracyLaBad-xo7xe She also forgot: Took the time to stop in the kitchen, find pen & and paper, and write a note. (and leave the murder weapon)
Yep
straight facts brother
The fact that they tried to pin it on the older brother and the family seems more devistated by AJ going away for life than the murder of his mother and father says a lot about the weird family dynamic.
Yep. I wonder if grandma felt that rich son AJ Sr. didn't peel off enough $ for her and was in her feelings. It almost seems like she doesn't care that her son and daughter were murdered.
Remember, the older son is not her grandchild and she only seems to have love for AJ … listening to the interrogation tapes makes AJ appear to be a big liar😔
On point so evil
@@sistersofvirtue5506I wished that black step grandmothers showed the same love to their step grandchildren.😢
She has lost her son, so she is trying to hold on to the grandson. They are all grasping for straws at this point. Sad, she knows he did it.
Grandma you are an enabler!!! Let him take accountability for his actions. He is a sociopath!! He stood stoic once he got his sentence
Her child has been killed and her grandchild has been charged and convicted the killing. Crimes effect the guilty person's family too. She's in pain. She's not hiding a criminal or have any part in his crime. She's just trying to make sense of her new reality and this is how she does it. The mind is a delicate thing.
@@ayomidelexactly point. What folks are failing to realize is that she's having to contend with the idea of losing a son and a grandson. The family will never be the same and usually, it's the grandparents that keep it all together. I feel sorry for her. AJ will have to pay but he's condemned his family to pay too. I wish his siblings the best and his family healing. As far as AJ, well he will have to ask God for his own grace.
If I was innocent, the last thing I would be is stoic. I’d be screaming from the top of my lungs that I was innocent!
@@ayomidel not one time did she say she believe he was guilty in fact its the opposite she believes he was set up. She believes AJ is a victim when in fact he is the killer. All that evidence yet she still is making excuses. No she not trying to make sense she trying to make excuses.
@@KBBarbie09grandma has def painted her self her own reality. The 911 call was the most telling of allp. She's old enough to know being scared doesn't cause you to have conflicting stories like THAT. Telling the 911 operator you heard something, went to check it out, peeped through the crack of the door & then ran back to your room would never change if you're being truthful. Instead he tells detectives he heard something, went to go look & saw a masked man exiting the house.
I truly believe he is a clinical psychopath. His lack of displayed anxiety, total apathy, and grandiosity is really something to behold.
Yep! He gave me the creeps watching this video!
Definitely a psychopath
Agreed! I know it sounds crazy but his eyes tell the story.
I think he’s a sociopath
The correct description is SOCIOPATH.

One indicator for me, that a family really doesnt believe in the innocence of their family member, is when they never mention finding the real killer. Grandma didnt say once in this interview, "there's a killer out there free". Only when the interviewer says "than who did it", all she says is "the police were supposed to find out".
BINGO!!
U nailed it.

Guilty. He's so chill after killing his parents. And constantly changing his stories to fit the evidence and the grandma saying he lied because he was scared. He wasn't scared even in the 911 call. Some people will remain in denial

@@Lonesome__Dove 🎯!! I have several in my family. Rewards given undeserved. No accountability. My sister and her daughter pay people off when my great nephew steals from them. Absolutely
There is one thing he said in the 911 call that proves he did it. He said he was having trouble hearing, that there was ringing or something in his ears. The new blood evidence, DNA on the notepad, the security alarm issues are all irrelevant. He proved he was in the room when that gun was shot by that one little comment.
Here's what was on the 911 call...
DISPATCHER: Can you hear anything else that's going on?
AJ ARMSTRONG: I hear like a loud...like a kinda high pitched noise...
Good point.

I just said that. I couldn't get that outta my head, in top of his demeanor afterward.

Most sensible comment I’ve read!
Omg. That was the first thing that came to my mind. A sociopath knows how to blend in.
Wolf in sheep clothing
Not always. There are countless studies that show how people who have grown in the same household turn completely different. Some on the right path others on the wrong side of the track. At one point children also have to choose right from young and we know that bad apples corrupt good one also
I remember this case from awhile ago. And what struck me was not just the brutality of the crime but the fact that the family tried to put the blame on the other brother. Even the younger sister testified in a way as to shift blame on their half brother. And I find that disgusting. The INNOCENT brother went through severe mental anguish after these two brutal homicides and all this family cared about was the killer brother. He is GUILTY as charged. And him getting married to this white girl and having a son is not going to change the mind of the jury. The fact that he acted so nice and innocent AFTER the crime means nothing. He was just performing because he was facing a double murder charge. Of course he is going to go to church, get married and bring a son in the world by a white girl.. All of that was done so that he would not have to go to prison. He was trying to impress this jury and it did not work. And the fact that this grandmother excusing his lies is disgusting. You only lie when you are guilty I don't care how old you are. If your parents are brutally murdered why would you lie if you are innocent? A innocent person would tell the truth and help the detectives do everything possible to bring the killer or killers to justice. This young man is a psychopathic cold blooded killer and he got what he deserved. His parents broke their necks giving him a life most young black children could only dream of. He had a two parent household and lived in an upper class neighborhood and got all his needs and wants and the way he repaid his parents was to take their lives while they slept. Now he will spend his life with black men who never got what he had. I only pray that his brother the innocent one can get his life together and find someone to love him and get away from that toxic family including his lying sister. That grandmother is a piece of work. And she never loved her son otherwise she would not protect his killer. And she definitely did not love her daughter in law. Hopefully his son by his white wife won't be raised around that family so that he does not turn out to be a cold blooded killer like his father. That man can rot in hell.

Grandma doesn't want the parents money going to the half brother.
Hmm, good point.
He definitely did it. There was absolutely NO reason for him to lie to the police during the interview. If you heard an intruder shoot your parents you would be upset.. not scared to tell the truth. Grandma just doesn’t want to lose another family member. How did he know his sister was alive??? How and why could he walk past his parents bedroom and not check on them???
Yeah, that's crazy.
It's because he did it. He doesn't want them to think he was in his parents room. If you're innocent you wouldn't care, you would go to your parents.
Yeah, I didn't think about that. How did he know that his sister was still alive? Good question. Just another point to prove his guilt.

Was waiting on this comment! I said the same exact thing when I watched the verdict.
Absolutely! There’s no way I would be that calm during the initial phone call to the police and my parents were just murdered. I’d be distraught!
I've scrolled through enough comments that I know that we believe AJ is guilty and justice was served!
His own mother said that he is a lier that could not be trusted no matter what! And for a narcissist that is their breaking point, when they've been found out and loose control, they get furious.
He's so calm during the 911 call.
I dont think grandmother is in denial, i think she is just as a narcissist as AJ! Like I have always said. Never ever has this heen about Dawn and Antonio. This has only heen about AJ. Right and how can a sister mastermind the whole thing and then get her brother to take the fall. Baffles me that they bought her innocent sleeping act.
I understand the grandmother is grieving but I feel she may have lost her mind in the interim and that’s sad.

@brittneysperspective8433 What's second hand embarrassment?
if you saw a masked man in your house and heard gunshots then its probably something you would mention on the 911 call , he only recalled the masked man later ??
1) The data from the motion sensor detected movement upstairs outside of his parents' room shortly before the murders FIRST then downstairs SECOND sometime after the murders. If there was indeed an "intruder", it would've had to have been the other way around as the "intruder" would've had to make his way from downstairs to upstairs to get to the parents' room
2) He made sure to describe to the polcice the physical attributes of the "instruder" as closely as possible to his brother in order to shift suspicion that way. Unless he was wearing night-vision goggles, it beggars belief as to how he was able to get such a description given it was dark
3) The way in which he tried waking up his sister on that 911📞 sounded so contrived and overly done as if to come across as an extremely concerned big brother, confused as to what was going on

It was very selfish and irresponsible of him to bring a child into this world without knowing his fate.
Right. But he had to play the part all the way through.
Selfish and irresponsible is A J. to a tee.
Its so much deeper than being irresponsible. there is insurance and inheritance. The little sister and AJ were next of kin. They inherited all that their parents left behind. Since they were underage at time, the grandparents are the guardians until 18 or 21, whatever the parents WILL stated. Even if AJ doesn't get any of the inheritance, his son does. AJ seems calculating and it would not surprise me if during the 7 years he was out on bond, he thought about this and said have a baby so there would be money for his young family and possibly himself.
He knew dam well he was going to jail.
It's selfish and irresponsible to bring any child into this world.

I’m sorry, that grandma should be ashamed of herself making all these excuses for him. I have a grandma just like her and it’s sickening. I’d be willing to bet she she only had a surface level relationship with that boy before these murders and she doesn’t know what he’s capable of doing. He’s a sociopath and deserves every year he’ll spend in jail. The evidence doesn’t lie. He planned, he prepped, and he executed. The family can deny all they want. No one is going to lie they way he did because they are scared. He didn’t sound scared to be in the house with an alleged mask man with a gun. He never anticipated his actions from weeks prior would be known so he hadn’t prepared a lie for why there was a gunshot in his floor. In addition, his attorney and family should be embarrassed that they would suggest his brother could be the real killer. His brother said it didn’t make sense because it doesn’t.
Justice has been served, may the parents now rest in peace.

I don't have time to rewatch it but after I read your comment I realized I don't remember them saying anything ab the gun being found & if it was the dad's gun. Unless I totally missed it😬 There's no doubt in my mind tho, he did it. There's not one logical explanation as to why he said one thing during the 911 call and then something completely different to the detectives. That sealed the deal for me & that was within the first few mins.
@@ReRe-kr1ht It was the dad's gun. AJ practiced shooting it a week prior to the murders. He knew where his dad hid the gun. AJ also left the gun on the kitchen counter with a note. (he didn't know what to do with the gun)

I waited until the last moment to believe he was guilty. Wanted so bad for it not to be true....even though all the evidence was smacking me in the face. Seeing his beautiful family had me hoping an intruder did the crime and he would be set free. But as I waited, no such news ever came and had no choice but to finally stop lying to myself and accept that this young man did do it. Its bitter sweet that the killer has been convicted. Sweet that justice has come for his amazing parents but very bitter because their lives were taken by the very being they created. 💔😔🙏🏿
So a murderer phased through the walls like Barry Allen , located the home owners gun quietly put a pillow to shoot his parents walked out leaving the door cracked.. went in the kitchen to write a note saying he’s been watching them (as if the victims would ever read the note and get scared) and then phased back out through the walls…aj calmly calls the police and knows how many shots he heard and that his ears are ringing…the test pillow in his room? Him not frantically repeatedly reminding police that a guy just left the house.. not asking how this could’ve happened or why.. just very matter of fact like yeah oh well my parents are dead now I guess… no distress in his mugshots? And they just killed yo mama! If I see a guy leaving my house and I see my parents in a body bag ..the police wouldn’t be able to arrest me I’d be hysterical and take the police car and their gun and go full GTA punisher mode until I get revenge

I knew that boy was guilty from the first trial when I heard that he clearly said on the 911 call that his "ears were ringing" presumably from being in close proximity to a gun being fired multiple times. Crazy that it took three whole trials to finally find him guilty and get justice for his parents. I don't know what delulu tea the family is sipping on but I pray they find peace and come to terms with the fact that their grandson/brother/cousin/nephew is GUILTY.
Exactly. He also said "it's my fault" on the call. He is definitely guilty from that alone.

The so called masked killer gets in the house without setting off the alarm. Doesn't have a weapon , gets the victim gun that he didn't know was there, shoots the parents , leaves a note and the gun after being spotted running out by AJ, leaves out the house without setting off the alarm again? ....No Way!

I have to say this is far THE BEST JOURNALISM WORK I HAVE EVER SEEN especially in the True Crime field too! You wasn’t biased, asked the the right Questions & the Questions your Viewers & the people from around the World 🌍 like me from 🇬🇧 not only are thinking BUT ALSO wanted asked!! BRAVO & THANK YOUUU 🙏🏾 Can’t believe this is free too! You should be proud of yourselves! ALSO BOSS MAN GIVE HIM/THEM A PAY-RISE!! 😅❤
Thank you for the kind words and for watching.
No seriously.. footage and media quality was like watching a major network. I love a good crime sleuth. Journalism had great detail and kept me engaged. Well done 👏
AJ’s lawyers actually sucked😂😂😂he really argued the expiration blood by saying “that doesn’t even make sense” as if there’s not licensed certified biologist who could just be like um yeh it’s a real thing
As an outside observer who is listening to all the evidence in this case I would have found him guilty if I was a juror.
He might be a great man now 8 years later but as a 16 year-old his parents said he was a liar and a screwup. They specifically said he lied all the time in their text messages to each other.
You honestly think he might be a good man now?? Trust me he's just as evil today as he was the day he killed his parents. If he was found not guilty, he would kill again. Might of been his wife or wife and child next
Guilty with a straight face & didn't even flinch at sentence life 40yrs if I didn't do it I would have been out of control he was so calm wow scary 😮
I wrote the exact same thing no way you get 40 years and not break down
He killed them and is where he's supposed to be. What a liar 🙄
If someone killed his parents he sure showed no emotion.
This is very sad that a young teenager boy, selfishly took his parents life not realizing he had a whole life ahead of him and the damage he have done to his family. That moment of rage and resentment was not worth your parents life.
He did it, the family is just in denial lol
At this point, AJ need to honor his parents by confessing and just tell the truth
He never honored them in the first place so that ain't happening. I wonder when he's up for parole in 40 yrs time if he will finally admit to it
That grandmother is the reason that kid is the way he is. Completely despicable. Smh.
That grandma....scratch that; that whole family, is completely, absolutely 100% delusional. How sad. They can't even see what's right in front of their faces, screaming so loud it's spitting at them 😢🤢
Why would the killer enter the home without a gun and in fact use the victims gun? Does not make sense🤔
This grandma couldve seen this boy shoot his parents with her own eyes and still find a way to convince others of his innocence. Them pinning this on the son that didn’t belong to Sr is also wild. I wouldn’t associate myself with them ever again. SMH.
He sounds so calm in the 911 call. That speaks volumes!
The grandmother know damn well her grandson did that.
She knows. She just didn't want to see him go to prison.
She waited until 36 min in to even attempt to make it about the death of her son. Um lady, you stand behind your grandson bc he is your flesh & blood. You're so quick to support the idea of Dawn's son committing these heinous murders bc he is not. Your grandson is all you have left that's why you sit there like a plum fool talking of AJ being innocent. Lady get a grip. If your grandson is so innocent where is the outcry to find the real murderer & get justice for Dawn and your son...oh you forgot that part, huh...
He had more emotion & concern in his voice waking up his sister than he did for his own parents. Jesus, Mary and Joseph everything about this story makes the hair on the back of my neck stand straight up, he is the epitome of a sociopath. Scary….very scary indeed.
👍🏽
I just said he's a sociopath, blending in. It's scary.
I’ve always felt this young man murdered his parents, fortunately, the jury got it right this time
HARD same!! He DID IT, unfortunately. For whatever weird reason, he did the unthinkable. I’m honestly glad he went on to live life bcuz now he has something to miss. I feel for his son but not the wife. What woman in her right mind would build a family with a man actively accused of MURDERING his parents in cold blood? She’s lame as hell for that. May his parents rest in perfect peace. I hope he gets everything coming to him behind those concrete walls. Adios young sir.
@@naiapaiaful where is the physical evidence? im not so quick to say guilty
I don't think grandmother is intentionally lying. I think that she is from another generation AND she is a pure/clean person and cannot fully process the truth. My prayers for the family. Having loved ones killed a tough situation, but having someone you love be the killer but be devasting to the pysche.
Fasho. I’m new generation and I turned on my brother cause he acussed of killing a kid. Changed my # will never speak to em .
His grandmothers denial and enabling is the reason why AJ is the way he is. She cares a lot about the family Image. She cannot accept he did this, because she would have to admit to failed parenting in the house
The grandmother knows that AJ did it, though.
Exactly 💯
AJ’s actions don’t prove failed parenting. This kid just consumed evil and wicked thoughts, and acted out his plans to kill his parents!
@@sistersofvirtue5506 AJ's actions don't prove good parenting either 🤷♀🤷♀.
Psychopaths aren’t raised they are born and parenting has no impact on these innate characteristics. Sociopaths are impacted by their environment and AJ parents were there for him seemingly along every step but his psychopathic tendencies were deeply embedded within him.
Hence Mom described him as “barefaced liar” and Dad “manipulative”. They saw who he truly was and grandma and other enablers were instrumental in cultivating those qualities which Mom and Dad tried to curtail at home. Justice for Mom and Dad Armstrong as their death stop his psychopathic tendencies from flourishing onto the society at large.
He did it, lock his butt up, he had a baby for sympathy. Sadly it didn't work AJ
I hurt my heart when I saw him holding that baby, then they said the girlfriend married him. Both she and Cara are in my prayers. I feel so bad for them.
I agree. Thats how a true narcissist operates. Sad.
11:33am The young man is guilty as sin. No one’s knows what goes on in someone house if you are not living there. He was a rebellious teen his parents were trying to give him structure but he want to do this his way and not listen. No intruder going to come in shot your parents close the door, leave the gun and a note. Seriously! I hope this guilty judgement is not overturned and he stays in prison.
Guilty as sin. Poor Grandma is in deep denial. Everyone, including AJ’s parents enabled him, which created the monster he became. He was praised, spoiled, coddled and given way too much too soon without any real accountability for his narcissistic, self entitled behavior. The jury got it right!
Agree💯
💯
Bingo!! Agreed
No ma'am, innocent people don't generally lie when they're afraid.
AJ IS GUILTY!!!!
Armstrongs not guilty
You're right, Dawn, Antonio Sr. and Josh aren't guilty @@47times_official
It happened because 12 members of a jury of his peers thought he committed the murders without a reasonable doubt. They believed he is guilty.
No sorrow or remorse at all in his voice. This guy is a straight up sociopath. He's right where he needs to be in prison!
Amen
“He lied cause he was 16” smh ok granny.
I think he thought juvenile detention then free. Almost got away with his plan. He definitely thought this out but God had his final answer
This was awesome to watch! Excellent job covering this cold and calculated murderer during and now even after the trial guys! This Was extremely informative and helpful watching all this coverage!
Yes it was Finally Justice is served. I've always knew he did it
Thank you for watching
I still cannot belive this. I pray that our children are growing to be good people. I pray for Josh and his little sister. May Dawn and Antonio Sr rest in peace.
*grow
The boy didn’t have any remorse on the initial phone call to the police. That’s a dead giveaway. The average person who just witnessed not one, but both of their parents murders, would be hysterical. 🤔
He was scared alright. Scared he was about to go to jail for what he had done and was caught but it sure wasn’t because someone else was in the house that had him scared and had done it.
Anyone with eyes can see that man is guillttyyyyyyy !!! The fact his family is defending him is sick ! He needs to rot under the jail
He could be innocent. Because why would he kill them with his sister in the house
@@Coco-de2ei Did you not look at ANY of the trial, or read about the evidence???

@@crystalbutler659Some people are not very bright. People with common sense can see with all the evidence AJ killed his parents. He is evil and was spoiled...
Man I really hope AJ don’t allow his grandmother to go to get grave thinking that he’s innocent. The family really believes that he’s innocent 😢
I think that's the only thing the psychopath holds onto. That at the very least he's fooled his stupid family and wife. I only feel pity for his brother.
His family made him the murderer that he is by enabling him all his life. They won't stop now.
@@tackytoyahe had me thinking the brother helped but I’m convinced he planned the whole thing
The poor grandmother. She’s really sincere. She absolutely believes the innocence of her grandson. She’s blinded by unconditional love. 😞
Absolutely
NOPE! That lady fooled y'all too huh? That lady is not sincere and knows good and well AJ killed his parents. That lady is concerned about her own image and couldn't care less how her enabling is impacting AJ. If she loved AJ and wasn't so concerned for herself, she would encourage him to face the truth. The truth is what will set him and the entire family free. These lies are going to continue to haunt him and he will never have peace...all because granny wants to maintain an image. The more I type, the more I don't like her AT ALL! I see right through that lady!

We couldn't see what the officer was doing while touching the sticker and t shirt!! Her back cover that part in the camera 🤔
Will AJ get treatment for his mental illness? He is clearly a psychopath, manipulator
Doesn't matter because the jurors said they didn't take the blood on the sticker evidence to come to their verdict. @@Anointed123
I agree with the person who said that AJ's family members are completely delusional and crazy also given that the parents are dead and it is like they don't even care. Someone in that house killed the parents and it wasn't the sister, it was AJ. The jury got it right finally. AJ is a sociapath because he's able to play the "victim" and stay so calm when deep inside, he's a damn monster.
The problem is most people only ever think of psychopaths as adults and fail to realise that most people are born psychopaths. They may not exhibit those traits because there may be no need but it doesn’t mean they are not. The fact that AJ was never violent just means he never needed to be, not that he was not capable of doing something that cold blooded. His lack of emotions proves he’s a psychopath who succeeded in even fooling his gf and family. Not sure if his lawyer believes him or it’s just a job to him
Well said you nailed it. In my opinion AJ is not just a cold blooded killer but I think if he got away with his parents murder, even after the three trials he would eventually kill again
Although I always believed Jr was guilty, this is a sad case. He murdered the very people that would have been there for him his entire life. So much loss and for what?? Because you couldn't have your way.
Some parents do way too much for their children, creating narcissistic sociopaths. The child feels they are exempt and everything revolves around them. Parents please set boundaries with your children. It helps them to become mature.
You missed that possible motive was them setting boundaries w him and taking away his car privilege. You can’t always blame on the parents. Sometimes people just give into their evil too much.
You are correct. The mother's text message said it all. She threw money and gifts at him thinking that was all she had to do to be a good mother. Money by itself doesn't raise children.
@ericaeng7270 Sometimes, parents help to create narcissistic sociopaths. The attempt at correction was too late. When parents give too much, especially when a child is not deserving, this is generally the outcome. I witnessed it several times over within my own family. I most definitely blame the parents. They created a monster. Did they deserve to be murdered? Heck no!!! However, 🐔 🐔 come home to roost.
Did they do a handwriting analysis on the note? Just curious. And I just can't understand if the grandma is such a spiritual woman how could she stand by and allow AJ defense team tarnish Josh name and character, its as though they didnt care what happened to him because he wasnt their blood.
Its going to take years before she realizes the truth, but eventually she will.
It’s their half brother he is blood he just isn’t related to the fathers side of the family but I see what your saying
Why would a killer break into a house hoping to find a gun to use and then leave it? AJ Jr. is a stonecold killer. His Google searches are very telling. He is evil personified
That grandmother knows that AJ killed his parents. She is not stupid!
I Agree I come to find out a lot of so called Christians and Spiritual people can be the devil in sheep clothing...
@@Crocro900He is not "their" blood.
This dude was to calm and explaining what happened with a calm voice is hilarious, ridiculous. Insane! This a sick world
The parents, who raised AJ and knew him best, called him out on his bs and manipulation, but the grandma and attorneys think they know him better. AJ wasn’t scared or concerned at all for his and his sister’s safety the night of the murders because he knew his sister was still alive, and that there wasn’t a shooter that came into the house. The police actually had to tell him to go outside the house. If there really was a shooter, even if he didn’t care about his sister, he would’ve bolted out of that house to save his own life. He wouldn’t stay inside and wait to find out if he’d be the next one shot.
