Anyone trying to use Healing Wish/LD latias, jirachi, shaymin, cresselia etc BE VERY CAREFUL! Healing Wish has a problem in gen 4, where unlike gen 5 onward, the mon that gets healed is still subject to an attack from the opponent, you need to plan this out and be careful when to use it, especially if the recipient is frail stuff like Lucario, Infernape etc.
I'm glad you got to meet Ryan Gosling, and I hope he shared some of his "Ken-ergy" with you as he told you to make this movie. Wish him luck with his DPP OU tourney.
Hey Kev, just wondering about the viability of Guts on Machamp. Thinking from the perspective of future gens - CC hits harder than DP, Facade is a useful neutral coverage tool, and you aren't afraid of status anymore. Is it just the cut to longevity?
Problem with CC is that im pretty sure you don’t hit any benchmarks that DM doesn’t or already does hit. It also lowering Machamps defensive prowess is defeating it’s purpose to take hits considering how slow it is. Plus forcing your opponent to skip a turn with confusion is nasty considering Machamp already hits hard to begin with, which can allow you to win matchups you normally shouldn’t (e.g Skarmory/Hippowdon). Forcing Lum activation on switches is immensely helpful as well. And let’s not forget the fact that you get perfect accuracy on stone edge. If a Pokemon survives a hit from Guts Machamp, it’s pretty much won the matchup unless it’s extremely passive. Hope this helped.
I think it's definitely got potential and is probably underexplored, but if you were to use it, I think you wouldn't go with facade and you wouldn't want to status yourself because yes, the longevity issues will be too great - you'd probably use it more as a standard bulk up machamp that can run leftovers while not being afraid of rotom's will-o-wisp, which is a unique niche. bulk up/cc/payback/ice punch sounds pretty good!
He's referring to the fact that copycat can only call roar once instead of repeatedly showdown haf it implemented incorrectly for years and they only changed it in 2023
Ayyyy Bulk Up Machamp, one of my first ever teams I built on Showdown was for DPP OU and it had a lead Leftovers Sub Bulk Up Machamp. It lost some lead matchups pretty hard without sash lum or Bullet Punch but when I'd get lucky with confusion hax I could occasionally 6-0 from lead lmao. Good times
Once BKC said "losing to mamoswine is stupid" and his superachi has 280 speed Idk why i just found that funny I get it, the speeds for adamant lucario and such, but its still funny
i built a team with draco meteor superrachi and yeah it rocks. nothing like OHKOing a scarf flygon that thinks it's gonna come in and threaten you out with earthquake!
I fully believe you met Ryan Gosling and that all of that happened. That one line about the just needing to switch the tempo on breloom with lum is great, that you don't need counters all the time. I learned competitive from the german community and one guy who's among the best if not the best german competitive players on RUclips is full life games. And bene really like being solid and safe, and I adopted that which also makes me still prefer balance teams and kinda sneer on offense more than on stall. But this switching the momentum, I just call that tempo now, a term I got from hearthstone battlegrounds and I think having more word to conceptualize thing and build/explain theory with helps so much. Like your vids obv helped improve my building a lot, but not within OU because I don't play it. I play lc But I think the most surprising game to have improved my skill at mons is chess, there so much good stuff to learn it terms of strategic thinking and how to evaluate positions long term
Wow I wanted to copy you and say "switch the momentum on breloom" for the effect but automatically said tempo again Smh I made a few mistakes like that while typing and thought I had caught them all It is just that good
Why Earthquake instead of Earth Power on Swampert? I haven't played DPP in a long time, but I remember a lot of things you want to EQ are more physically defensive than specially defensive. It does a lot more damage to stuff like Metagross.
As soon as I saw the thumbnail I remembered that I lost 30$ on a best of 5 money match and it was 2-2 and he draco metroed my ass with jirachi and I think I fell out of my chair and fainted.
You can use Togekiss alongside Jirachi for a paraspam, however, bear in mind, Togekiss has weak stabs (air slash can also miss!), is weak to sr which is a no-no, and takes damage from sand, it has the three weaknesses of flying and not a whole lot of useful resists, it’s possible to pair up a special defensive Togekiss alongside a pdef jirachi in order to rack up paralysis and perhaps use jirachi to bait in ground moves, but there are many instances where you’ll regret say, not bringing Clefable instead. There’s also scarfkiss as a lead option, it kinda works as an inferior scarfrachi lead, if you need jirachi for another role.
After that last video about ttar and skarm and you now mentioning sash lead tar Have people had success with slotting manual weather to get rid of unfavorable sand match ups post it's death? Like as a filler move on a singular mon that did only need 3 moves really, like the rachi carrying healing wish because it's just good tech (Gen 9 lc ru, hatenna my beloved)
Last comment for me now, you mentioned hypnosis gengar That's a thing in gen 1 already ofc and I wanna suggest a thought That sleep powder and hypnosis, while less consistent and less good on paper because of that, are uniquely more broken that spore. Because you'll end up in situations where you have to fear it and try to fodder something. Which sucks when 40% of the time you'll just be forced to switch and at least take damage. Or with them doing a good predict giving your opponent a 60% to sleep the mon you're pivoting with
On my own channel there even is an example of that, where I was lucky that I got hit, but was very far behind in a bo3 set against kind edgy (imo the best gen 1 rando player) Ofc he has his own pov uploaded as well, it's his video series that I participated in after all
Alright I lied, YES, you you need to do a video on middle grounds! I wanted to see that for a while now I think they're one of the most basic things when it comes to good play but are so rarely talked about because everyone just focuses on predicts and the big plays. The clickbait youtube hell media landscape of poor and poorer quality that will likely get a new type of poor in the future because capitalism or smth does not help with that either (I hope your movie makes big cash even if I won't be able to afford it)
Thank you based Ryan Gosling, helping us recieve the BKC content we need
you’re welcome
Wake up babe. New video from rambling hydrated fire chicken just dropped
wake up babe. new “wake up babe” on every BKC by the unkempt masses
That story is true, as I am Ryan Gosling (I watched Drive once)
I can confirm the Ryan gosling part because he is literally me
Hoping to see Ryan Gosling in his next SPL tournament using Draco Jirachi, and counter t-tar
some say this video is the last image K saw in the snowfall, an image his mind will never forget to be sure
Take a shot every time BKC says might make a video on this

did not know about this, thank you!
Ryann gosling truly a godsend for ensuring the legendary BKC movie is able to release
Ryan did.
It feels pretty cursed seeing Clefable take damage from a dragon move.
Not to us ancient fossils of the past!

Running draco meteor for clefable feels wrong
Lmao lol
Ryan def played BW UU
Bro didnt edit out the bathroom break. What a gigachad
i think gen 2 ubers should get a video lowkey since it is its month but not my decision

It doesn't get CC in DPP

I love your fanfiction about Ryan Gosling in the beginning
It was real
This may be the fastest we got to the topic of the video holy crap
Nothing like watching a 1-hour long BKC essay at 3 AM
Ryan Gosling will be starring in BKC's second movie as a thank you for these sets
Hugh Jackman will have a supporting role since he got his start as BKC's pfp
Gastrodon is a friend
Finally it has arrived
Hey @BKC what did you mean by "copycat being nerfed" at 58:50 ? Did I miss some mechanic changes that have been implemented or something?

Real ones are already here for the blazing kicking chicken

The REAL RYAN GOSLING?!
Before I played Gen4 OU, I never realized that Jirachi could learn Draco…
New idea: What if Gyarados was Water/Dragon from Gen 1 on?
wtf jirachi gets draco meteor??
Yep. It was a GameStop event
