What a lovely day it was exploring Islington & Angel. I honestly didn't expect to, but I absolutely fell in love with this area of London. If you're looking to move to London look no further for the perfect neighbourhood! This area truly has everything you might want: markets, quaint public gardens, pedestrian streets with cool shops and eateries, quiet and lush sidestreets, access to Regent's Canal, as well as an outdoor mall and all the convenient highstreet shops.

Yes the house boats are so cute and you can find them all along the canals which spand London from East to West! Will definitely give you the best tour ever when you come visit!!

If you like hunting for antiques then there is a cool little place off the Edgeware Road called Alfies Antique Market. I never knew about it until I worked in that area in the late 90s. Maybe it is more well known now but anyway.... Costume and set designers and stylists used to frequent it to get one off unique pieces of jewellery or furniture or glassware etc. If you wanted to make an afternoon of it, you could visit Alfie's and then wander down to Little Venice to look at the houseboats. It is a nice way to spend an afternoon!

Hello I'm going to Islington for work soon. Is the area safe? I heard London has many pickpocketing and phone snatching incidences. Is it common in Islington?
Hi! I know that islington is supposed to have one of the highest crime rates in London, but that was not my experience at all. I've been on multiple occasions and never had any issues. I view it as a tranquil residential area with a bustling highstreet and I would even consider living there, personally. Hope that helps!
