I want to make this because my deceased mother's name was Sybil Sarah and I miss her so much😢
I'll wear it and pretend she's hugging me. This was meant to be and I'm so glad I found this. I love all your tutorials.❤
Lovey tutorial. I'm making this for my sister Patricia who will be 75 in March.
Patricia loved the Downton Abbey show.
Love this! I’m going to give this a try in black so I can wear to church😉 thank you for sharing this with us. God bless you🙏
I am looking for the shawl, and there it is. Thank you for this tutorial.
Oh my goodness I think I'll make one of these for my daughter and one for myself!
Thank you for this pattern and video xx
i am doing this pattern in two colors. It's coming out beautifully. Thank you
That's really lovely! I get excited every time I get a RUclips notification on my phone now. So many new patterns. Going to watch through the whole video now.
+Trish Bresolin Thanks!
Can’t wait to try this, I will make for my sister.
I love to make one for my Aunt ❤️
The gauge given in the written pattern is incorrect. It was taken from the Downton Abby yarn label, which uses a D hook, instead of from the project which uses an I hook. Can you provide the correct gauge?
This is an older Crochet Pattern, and we no longer have the garment in hand. The Pattern Tester who tested this particular crochet Pattern no longer works for me. So Your best course of action is to measure as you go. It's a very basic pattern and the gauge is not really important for this pattern, as long as you measure as you stitch it up.
This is just what I was looking for, and #2 yarn drapes so nice.
Thank you for your easy pattern to follow.
Oh, You are so welcome. :)

hiii its soooo beautiful creation I have no words ...!!!
hugs &lots of love too !!!
Thanks!
Thanks from Russia 🇷🇺❤️❤️❤️
Love this pattern, but your first line of instructions says to double crochet in the 2nd chain from hook, but in your video you say to double crochet in the 3rd chain from hook, which makes more sense. Thank you for so generously sharing this lovely pattern which will become a prayer shawl for my Mom.
Suzanne Tudor both work you do what works best for you.
Just what I was looking for! Thank you!
You are welcome!
Eva Danese agreed

This is on our list to up date and re-film in the new Studio. The Free Crochet pattern link is in the notes if you need more help.
I have a question. Your pattern size says neck measurements: s, m, l, do, but is the sizes right? It says 32, 34, 36, 38 inches. I am stumped on where the inches actually measure to. Could you clarify? Thanks.
I am still on vacation, will be back in a few days.
It is in inches - If it's not as big as needed or small, you may need to go up or down a Crochet Size to match gauge. it is meant to to be stitched loosely.
Sizes: S, M, L, XL
Neck measurement - 32(34, 36, 38) inches
Pattern written in Small with Medium, Large, Extra Large in parenthesis.
In the future rather then posting here, if you do not get an answer quickly, you can email at the link the notes under the video.
The neck opening on the cape that I started is 24 inches and it looks as roomy as the one you have completed, the purple one behind you. A 36" or 38" opening would cause the garment to fall off your shoulders. Something is not right here.
The cape on behind me is a 36 inch cape opening which is A Large.
Beautiful!! Thanks for sharing 💐
Like your tutorials, but cant follow with the way you have your camera.. can't see what you are doing..
It's an old Style, We do them different now. The Free Crochet Pattern is in the notes under the video.
do you have a written pattern to view?
Yes, it is in the comments, under the video - poshpoochdesignsdogclothes.blogspot.com/2016/05/lady-sybils-lace-cape-shawl-crochet.html
Thank You! I've been looking for something simple but beautiful.
Can you do this with a 4 worsted weight yarn
Gloria Edwards yes, but it will be bigger.
Is this shrinkable to make one for a 13 month old?
I have not made it that small, not sure it would work.
Por favor em português obrigada
Sorry, I do not speak this language.
