Working with Indexed DB

If we’re going to make an app truly offline-first, we need a way to store data. IndexedDB is the solution. This video describes the various components of IndexedDB and demonstrates how to use it to store data in the browser.

Is there a way to put a listener on indexDB so that every time data changes a function is called?

Is storing data directly a typo? I see nothing on MDN about it, it all seems to require at least one object store.
