You should know that the majority of the fancy cars you see in Miami are RENTED. Ladies, don’t get suckered by a guy picking you up in a Lamborghini because odds are, that is NOT his car. I can’t tell you how many people fake it in Miami, pretending to be something that they’re not. Don’t bother trying to keep up with the illusion of Miami and just live your life.
As I said to the other RUclipsr the other day and I say it again. The biggest con is the language barrier. It is highly recommended that you speak Spanish before moving to Miami for ordinary Americans. I know English is taught in school but that doesn't mean the city is going to be "English friendly" when students finally grow up. They don't want their city to be like Cleveland or Seattle. They want the city to be very receptive with the Spanish language ranging from culture to everything else. If you leave the public sector aside, all the good paying or respectable jobs require to speak Spanish or English and Spanish. Moreover business meetings, from mom-and-pop shop to bank office like City National Bank are done in Spanish. So Miami is a unique American city with a very enduring language in mind.
Great video! I live in Miami. If you’re considering moving here, you will not live anywhere near the beach or other cool places unless you are really well off - hello Kendall! Also not many people speak English here and it’s nearly impossible to get a job unless you speak Spanish and Portuguese- and maybe some English lol. One thing you forgot - it oppressively hot and humid about 9 months out of the year. And the rainy season and hurricane seasons are no joke.
hey Barbara! lol yeah i guess i could talked about the heat. But I am so used to it that I foget to talk about it. But anyways thanks for watching :) enjoy Kendall!
Damn... Is that even possible/legal? I would like to work in Miami but I can speak only english... Never spoke spanish. So, english is no-no in Miami? Daaamn...
Public transportation is not bad. You will get where you need to go. He’s saying bad as in people on public transportation. But from busses to metro rail to tri rail you will be fine getting where you need to go.

Cool video and very helpful , just got a job offer in Miami ,im from L.A. and was thinking of moving to Utah but got this offer , still not to exited about the move but will see whats up.
Utah must be beautiful! but I am sure you will like Miami once you get used to it. Let me know if I can help you get settled down here once you are ready.
You are sooo dope for making this video. As a matter of fact I just scanned your uploads and I’m loving it! Very informative and straight to the point which is always a plus! 💯👍🏾😎
Really want to move to Miami from NYC. I am in the interior design and architecture industry, wondering if real estate is good down there. I grew up in Puerto Rico and Spanish is my native language which is a plus when applying for jobs. My only concern is the party scene. Is this everywhere in Miami ?
Another point to mention is everywhere you go people speak Spanish including employees in Dr offices, stores etc. I speak both so I don’t have a problem but it’s sometimes annoying. Most people will assume you speak Spanish. Also Miami is 70% Latino, not just Cuban even though the majority is Cuban. I’m from New York City and I’ve been living in Miami for 31 years. Miami is nice to live. Nice hot weather, few cool days. It’s close to the Caribbean which is another plus. Traffic is bad and drivers are rude and drive recklessly. Great video, all points are correct.
haha thats so true I feel the same way. But for me sometimes I speak Spanish and people look at me like "huh what you say?" until they realize I was speaking spanish and they get shocked 😯
This is one of the better south florida informational videos so I just subscribed to your channel. Raised in Broward and lived in Miami for 4 years after high school then DC then Baltimore. Only thing florida panthers dont play in miami, they are in broward county. I only say that since this video focuses on miami Dade county. Only thing Broward and miami have in common is the 786 area code 😂. Obviously I'm exaggerating a bit
Hans what is the average of homes with how's. I would like to rent when I move down there but do not wanna pay hoa fees as well. Is that something that is easily avoided
Hey you mean how many properties down here have HOA? If so, all condos and townhomes do. However if you are looking to rent, you dont pay those fee's, only landlords pay HOA fee's.
Hey Paul! With that budget you could get a nice spot in Brickell, Downtown Miami, Miami Beach too but you could find a bigger and greater home in Fort Lauderdale for the same price, of course
I make good money like over 6 figures, but I have an eviction on my record that happened in 2018 in Orlando. I can show proof of income and things like that. Would it be hard to live in miami beach given my situation ? Apartment that I live in now didn't do a bg check but just an income check.
Hey good question, yeah unfortunately having an eviction on your record is pretty serious when it comes to renting a place. However there is always a landlord that will be willing to work with you.
Is there a big demand for Real Estate Photography? I have shot many years for Keller Williams here in Chicago and there is a lot of Real Estate Photography work here

What? It’s very expensive to live here (obviously not like San Fran or NYC) even way out in the suburbs. The only way I can afford it is because I was living in DC (where salaries are much higher) when I accepted my current job and then moved down here. not at all, no Spanish needed what so ever, but of course it helps so start practicing :)
