- I wanted to do something different from a normal unboxing as we see so many online these days. What makes these little things so cool is all the possibilities you have to modify them and make them your own.
Roc Hobby is proud to introduce you to its 2022 latest product-1:18 Magnum, a fantastic detailed RC scale vehicle with a popular post-war design, featuring a spacious and comfortable cab with a realistic dashboard and seats. A wide sill extends under the door and a flat one-piece front windshield, coupled with a larger rear window, provides a more week view. Put your hand on the five chrome-plated cooling grilles where you can explore the cleverly-integrated turn signals. The spacious rear cargo compartment and openable tailgate make loading and unloading of cargo convenient.

Man... Just an amazing job.... Looks so goood... 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Sweet paint job.
That paint job makes the car look awesome!
I love. That truck! It reminds me of a Christmas theme truck that you would put in the middle of the kitchen table on the holidays.
That looks awesome, great job!!
Out of all the video's about this little truck. Ur video is the only one I clicked on and watched. Everyone else done straight unboxings. I liked the way u went straight in on it and started customizing👍
Looks great 👍 Reminds me of an American TV show from the 70s -80s called Sanford & Son 😅
If I got one, I'd have to paint it up like the truck from Sanford and son
Looks great with that aged or distressed look.
Nice work brada
Great to see you do something different with this. FMS really knocked it out of the park with this, and the mods you've done have just lifted it even more!! I love the distressed look on scale or crawlers. It's somehow, just what they are!! Love it. 👍🏻
Very nice! It is definitely one begging to be weathered and customized!! It turned out great!!
Make it brushless, add some foam tires!
You did a brilliant job with that paint job Gavin. Looks so lifelike.
This is the 47-52 Ford F series. Tamiya Midnight Pumpkin is the second gen Ford F trucks. Don't think anyone has done the 1st F series as RC before. Great kit. Wish it was bigger as I only do 1:12 - 1:10 scale.
Looks good, I would apply some heat, using a pencil blowtorch or similar, to put some dents in the bodywork.
Yep that would be cool
Looks great well done Gavin looks much better 👍👍👏🤩🏅😊
A very cool looking project. Great job.
I like that patina look…great job 👍
Just one mod : STUBBY BOB !!!
I had to Google it, but HELL YES!
Nice👍
That looks incredible! 👌
Great idea, great execution!
Google Stubby Bob! I had no idea, but Anya Jenkins commented about it here. Fair RC mod idea!
That looks amazing Gav, you really nailed the rustic look. Needs a driver in it though. Would love to see the end result once it's completely finished. We'll done sir. 👏
Whenever I get mine this is exactly what I plan on doing with mine
Looks great Gav. Great work.
Really nicely done 👍
Awesome! Nailed it!

Hi Gavin, you live in the UK. I was wondering if you have ever seen any of the old American trucks in the UK? These old trucks just keep going. I was thinking you have probably seen many old Land Rovers. Those old trucks are basically the same thing. They just keep going. I have a friend, he is from the UK, but lives here in California. Guess what? He has an old Land Rover. It rusty and just keep going. His truck is even right hand drive! In other words the steering wheel is on the the right hand side. He will never sell it. Thoughts?
You don’t seen many American cars in the UK at all. We do have some clubs for people who are into them so you sometimes see them at events but that’s about it. The pickup truck just isn’t a thing at all in the UK. Builders and trades people use vans. Obviously we have loads of Land Rovers but these are normally split into two camps. The 4x4s that never leaves the road and are normally seen taking the kids to school. This is it’s just a trendy thing to own and normally these are the expensive top of the range examples. Then in the countryside you have things like the old Defender that is used for everything as it’s more of a working truck for farmers and people who have dogs and drive on all the small lanes and dirt tracks.
That said, the UK roads are getting so bad now from a lack of maintenance, having a working 4x4 is becoming more of a necessity lol
@@RCKickschannel I find it interesting that you do not see many American cars in the UK. I would guess because of the tariffs and also because most American car have the steering wheel on the left side. It is funny you said that many work vehicles are vans. My work vehicle is van. It is a Mercedes. It is big and clumsy. It has also broken down several times. The company that I work for is now going to use the Ford Transit van instead of the Mercedes. Here in the USA trucks are very popular, however I do not own one. I do have an SUV . It is Ford Explorer. Great family vehicle. Thoughts?
In the UK fuel is so expensive that most cars these days have small 1-6,1.8 engines so that plays a part in why we don’t have US cars. Also having Germany closer, a massive chunk of our cars are BMW, Audi or Benz. The most popular van in the UK is the Ford transits for sure but we do have a good number of Benz vans around. In the UK the average yearly mileage is around 12,000 miles so we don’t do the massive miles like people in the US. A big part of why we don’t see many US cars is the UK is because of the styling and the overall perceived desirability is really low for US brands. People just don’t aspire to own an American brand and this notion has been around for years. UK people see brands like Porsche, BMW, Benz and Ferrari obviously as premium brands, not Ford, GM, Dodge, Cadillac. Tesla is probably the most desirable US brand but still seen as cool modern technology matched with not the best car fit and finish quality. The UK roads are also small and twisty so smaller cars are more popular for normal family duties. The crossover (mini SUV) style car has become popular in the UK the last five years and four door sedans have fallen out of favour.
@@RCKickschannel Hi Gavin, I had forget that gas is expensive in the UK. It is also expensive here in California, but not as expensive as it is there. Trucks usually use a lot of gas. Owning a big truck in the UK would be expensive to drive. Here you do see many small pick-up trucks like the Ford Ranger and also Toyota small trucks. Those smaller trucks are much better on gas. Also here too the small SUVs are getting popular too. The Ford Escape has 1.5 liter engine. I believe that engine is a European design. Maybe the engine is even built in Europe.
You mentioned Tesla. We see Tesla cars all over here in California. Tesla is clearly the leader in this area. This is clear because now Mercedes, BMW and many other German manufactures are starting to make electric cars. What I find even more interesting is that Tesla is going to make cars in Berlin, Germany. Why is Tesla going to do this? They are trying to avoid the tariffs from Germany and other European countries. Do I not want a Tesla car? No, I do not. The technology needs to improve more before I would buy anything electric. Sorry for the long message. Thoughts?
It's already been a year since we can buy it in France, moreover I've had one since July 2022! 😂
This has just been released? Same kit from RocHobby?
@@RCKickschannel My order dates from August 02, 2022 I can even send you the screen by email if you want.
It's crazy, it is available at home 1 year later!!!
@@RCKickschannel Yes yes it is exactly the same, even the box is identical!
@@bidibulle6795 That’s so strange
@@RCKickschannel Maybe an early release for France?
On the other hand, we got the FXC24 crawler and the CHEVROLET APACHE 1/18 SCALER 6X6 later than you!
He may be testing or so to avoid low stocks?
What servos do you use in your cars and where do you buy them from ???? @rckicks
All over, it depends what I’m doing with it. Vintage, new, basher, race buggy.
