All the points you have made are valid , but I think that overall playstation is not the most successful , in India nintendo and xbox are not officially available which gives playstation the edge , but in terms of sales only ps2 is higher than nintendo ds and switch , the main reason that it can play gta san andreas which was huge for the time , but some of the biggest sony exclusives only came during the ps4 era like horizon ghost of tsushima , plus after an age people in India feel like games like mario and zelda are only for kids while they should play a game which has lot of action and gore. Also almost all innovations done by playstation were influenced from nintendo like motion controls from wii or haptic feedback which is like the upgrade of hd rumble from switch . I am not saying that playstation is bad but I just dont think that it is the ultimate gaming console , in 2024 playstation hardly released any good games , while they are spending 400 million dollars on games like concord and also focused on releasing unnecessary hardware like ps5 plus , earphones headphones and psvr 2 .
