It's so crazy your yard was split apart with a fence in the middle! My favorite part was the removal of the fence. But also the ingenious designs of the fence gate and the shelving! The whole space is peaceful and purposeful.

A little tip about subtitles in video, since there is no audio dialogue, all information are through visuals subtitle, however, one common issue about subtitle is the duration is often too short on screen for viewers to read, it does not mean viewers can’t read all the words in time (thou sometimes that could be the case) but rather, viewers are busy chasing the subtitles and end up missing everything else showing on screen, when a video editor synchronize the subtitle track, he/she always read through it as the video plays and think the duration is okay, but that is because he/she already know the script and the subtitles, for viewers who watch the video and read them, they have no idea what’s going appear on screen and they have to read AND comprehend, while also want to capture all the moving visuals on screen, and it could lead to fatigue, or at the very least, viewers have to keep pausing the video to read in order not to miss either the subtitle or the video itself. I hope you can consider this in your next video, it’s a shame you have such great content and well produced video but plaque by this small issue. Keep up the great work anyway (:
Hi there, really grateful for your constructive suggestion. yes, we have noticed this issue as well, The video editor software we used can report CPM (character per minute counter) for subtitle, we had been lowering that number from 23 to 15 in recent videos. We work in pairs, one of us will write the subtitle and the other will proofread to check against if it is running too fast. anyway thank for bring this up for our attention again, we will try hard to improve the viewing experience for everyone!

Hi. I just happened to find this channel and I love everything about it. That said, I would like you to consider slowing down the subtitles a bit. I'm afraid for a non-native speaker like me it's almost impossible to finish reading before they are gone. I really tried, but when I put all my effort into reading, I hardly see anything else that's going on and that's a shame. Again, I thoroughly enjoyed this. And now I'll stop nagging. Can't wait to watch all the other vlogs. Lucky me!

I gotta say, taking the time to properly set up the landscape and figure out a design takes so much time. I redid my courtyard but it took two years to finally figure out what I wanted to do and do it on a budget! lol It turned out, I found myself accidentally turning that foyer into a Greek-inspired, simple style design. I love how it turned out! *sidebar: I have wanted to visit the Mediterranean for some time now though.. so maybe I was channeling a desire there too? haha Great video! Thanks for posting!

thank you for the input, we did also noticed this issue ourselves, we already cut the English wording down by 30% (when we translate it from our native language) but still it doesn't seem to be enough, we will try maybe spread the subtitle into more clips next time
we did have a cover, but felt visually too heavy to have everything covered in a black sheets, so we left it open last year in the rain season, it is holding up quite nice actually

How do you remove the leaves from the pea gravel on the side path?
We have a leaf blower/vacuum/mulcher we usually blow the leaves to one center and collect them there, so far it is seems working pretty nicely
