Is IRS form 8832 necessary to submit? I found out that it has to be mailed and this doesn’t look necessary for a single member LLC as it’s by default a disregarded entity.
Just curious if the referring physician needs to be their primary care physician? I know you mentioned an endocrinologist can also make the referral. So it sounds like it does not have to be their primary care physician referring. Thank you so much this video is very informative.
How can we confirm a client is part B not part c (Advantage) if we are still not contracted with private insurance. Medicare part B coverage for MNT for kidney disease is so confusing, it says it covers non-dialysis chronic renal insufficiency GFR 13-50, so this is stage 3 in ICD 10 codes. Right? And if a client has more than 50 then MNT is not covered, right?
The insurance card is a good place to start when reviewing a patient's coverage, as original Medicare cards differ from Medicare Advantage plans with private insurance. For coverage, Medicare has a section on its website regarding ICD-10 codes: www.cms.gov/medicare/coding-billing/icd-10-codes#CodeFiles and Valid codes for billing: www.cms.gov/medicare/coordination-benefits-recovery/overview/icd-code-lists
This is so helpful Thanks
I was just worried that the office staff won’t be happy for the extra work as sending referrals for each patient 😅
It is something most offices are used to doing for patients!

This is something I would check with your tax accountant about to be sure you don't need to submit!

A referring physician can also be the endocrinologist or another specialist like a cardiologist!
