First CROSSBOW Turkey Hunt | Opening Day 2024

Andy and AJ head to an area on the main farm and setup a blind in hopes of catching a tom heading to roost on opening day of the season. They do just that intercepting a bird and calling him in from behind the blind. He takes forever to commit and we believe it is because he couldn't see the decoys. Once to makes an appearance Andy wastes no time taking the rear end shot. Unfortunately he shoots an inch high and only wounds the bird. Luckily after he spins out he settles in and stands at 10 yards in front of the blind giving Andy enough time to reload and shoot again. This time the bird takes off running out of range and Andy has to take off on foot and chase him down to finish him off.

What happened with the first shot? Pass through? Deflected off? Any penetration and where did it hit him?
