This video shows you the best weapon skins in Sea of Thieves. The ones that give you an advantage over others so you have an easier time aiming and hitting your target, an easier time seeing your target without unnecessary glowing and clunk in your face, and also in general the nicest skins to aim with.

The pistols and eor are the only ones that really matter imo
that's exactly what i was thinking, one time i was sailing with someone and they were complaining that i was using the triumphant sea dog Helm and they were saying how they can't see anything with it, that I find is just incredible, people can find a way to cry over anything these days

My Go-to Cutlass is the Revenge of the Silver Blade. It's just a reskinned Silver cutlass but the little moss, coral, and wear n tear added to it is nice.
Everyone knows the cronch set is the best option for any weapon. It is just so intimidating people will not attack you!
Finally someone else who understands
The Silverblade/Obsidian/Cultural Aristocrat are my choices for weapons.
And just like cannons, people who dont use them can still get a decent aiming habit using a clunky model....
I still use the cultured aristocrat tho....

Most of the time I use the midnight blunderbuss and legendary sniper
The launch crew eye of reach even tho it is chunky, is probably one of the best one actually. The green tint of the lens makes it easier to see targets under water.
Cool guide, unfortunately half the weapons are not possible to unlock anymore. Would be nice to see a list of actual attainable weapons.
i'd recommend the barnacle set (silent, bristling (wailing no longer obtainable))
I'm using the simple Aristocrat Flintlock with the Triumpfant Sea Dog Cutlass, or any weapon of the Order of Souls set: all of them looking good and has great visibility and aim.
I also love showing off with my "X marks the spot" EOR but honestly not using it in combat, due to its yellowish optic. :)
Thats why I love the Jack Sparrow weapon set blunderbuss. Sleek and high visibility!

Ones I use are the warsmith eye of reach and lodestar cutlass, they are slim and have a nice glow effect, not very distracting as well.
actually, the regular admeral pistol shoots normally but the off verients are the ones that shoot high, same goes with the bilge rat pistols, it doesn't make sense but it is true

I’ve had great luck with the Mercenary Flintlock, and the Admiral Eye of Reach.
I use the Lodestar EoR and sword normally, they look nice and aren't to distracting, all for a fairly small price :)
The plunder pass spatula is the new meta cutlass since it takes up the least amount of your screen.
The thing you should stay away from the most would probably be the soulflame flintlock! It is SO BAD for aiming!

Inky Kraken cannons are the thinnest I've found and easiest POV to see. I use nothing else really besides ghost

I feel like the only weapon type where the skin matters significantly is the flintlock.
I mean you literally can't aim properly on many of them
on the bone the sight is actually on the right next to the scope.. alot of them do that. idk why i said this

i think with the blunderbuss and eor it's also important how much screen space they take when pulled. not so much the iron sights though

I litterally mostly just go on looks when buying skins although I do stay away from thing that are very very big or inaccurate although there’s just a select few that I classify as very very big from the skins I have seen that is.
If you want to use a flintlock, I suggest either the gold leaf or mercenary pistols
The graveyard gladiator blunderbuss I find to be amazing since it has no level thing at all and is very slim
I have been using the ruby cutlass for almost 2 years, it’s been my main sense I started
Just put a piece of clear tape in the middle of your tv, put a marker dot dead center of the aim. There now you can use any gun, and have a reticle for harpooning too

I do well with the ferryman pistol and sword. The pistol is surprisingly accurate.
Yeah! The ferryman weapons in general are all really good and I play really well with them

I've used ruby stinger and ruffian sea dog sniper and blunder and a mercenary flintlock for eons

I use XMTS sniper, shrouded ghost hunter blunderbuss, legendary spirit pistol, and the soulflame cutlass
DA is a really good set for me personally. I only own 3 skins, but its clean
my main weapons are briggsy's sword and (i think?) sovereign flintlock but im planning on using the eye of reach and blunderbuss more
btw if im wrong about what flintlock i use its the gold black and brown one
Party Boat Cutlass is best! Hilarious to look at, slim, and short
you know a neat trick you could do that gives you the greatest advantage more than anything? paper tape, right on your screen and specifically where you need to aim and then you can use anything.

@@Ironz._. I mean, you still have to account for projectile speed and bullet drop for longer shots, but knowing the center of the screen at all times? That's a good way of helping yourself.

One of my favorite sets/combos is Castaway Bilge Rat Blunder and EoR. They look and work so well together!

I can personally use any sniper (including bone crusher) because I pay very close attention to my surroundings

Hot take;
EoR like the fearless bonecrusher are actually good. Why? Because it's easier to find a point of reference on the gun itself for quick scoping when the gun is higher up your screen, sure, you don't *need* this, however back when I first started playing I used to practice my aim and such by shooting the bell on the mast of my ship, and when you could noscope accurately, I used to find a point of reference on the gun to aim at people, and even though noscoping is no longer accurate, that method still works for quick scoping. I've used Obsidian EoR ever since I've had it though, just cause I love how it looks.
I actually main the Kraken Cutlass and Mercenary Flintlock, so it's nice to know I'm using good skins.
Tho I wanna know how to get the ruby Stinger, bc DAMN that looks so nice
I have it...and I have no earthly idea how I got it...but yes, it is my main vein opener
btw Tribute Peak Pistol is also worthy for aiming. It is just a better looking gold hoarder pistol.

How small of a monitor do you have that a slightly larger than normal cutlass distracts you? And how are you distracted during combat? Just aim at the thing you want to kill...

The swords are fine for the most part cuz if your booking looking straight but need to have a perfect vision down your doing something wrong
